June 28
12:20 AM – Officer responded to 14300 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of an unusual amount of foot traffic in the area. Officer contacted a female who stated she used to live at the residence in question and only wanted to get clothes from the house. Officers provide the female with a courtesy ride to Whataburger.
6:18 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 N Frontage Rd. at Rolling Meadows entrance to assist Bexar Co. with a major accident.
1:16 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
2:34 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported a hit & run that occurred at the old Beall’s P-Lot.
3:20 PM – Officers responded to 19000 Blk. of N Benton St. and talked to complainant about a neighbor taking weights without his permission.
11:32 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
June 29
1:42 AM – While patrolling at the 17900 Blk. of Laney’s Catch, officer noticed two open garage doors and an SUV with the hatch open. Officer contacted the homeowner who stated his kids forgot to close the hatch. No signs of criminal activity.
2:08 AM – While patrolling at the 19700 Blk. of IH 35 SB Frontage Rd. a male subject approached officer and stated he locked his keys in his tractor trailer. He male stated his other driver would bring him a key.
7:52 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Public Library for a welfare check on a person laying down behind the building. Officer located a male sitting on a bench who said was homeless and had been sleeping there for a few days.
10:45 AM – Officer responded to Railroad St. at Bank St. and talked to complainant about two homeless who were still hanging around and causing a mess. Officer contacted them and advised them of the situation.
10:45 AM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church for a report of a suspicious male. The male had left upon officer’s arrival.
1:20 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer about a civil matter.
2:45 PM – Officers responded to Main St. at N. Prairie St. for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
3:26 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 131 for a report of debris from the slow lane causing traffic hazard. Officer removed the debris from the highway.
6:30 PM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church for a report of a suspicious person in the area. Officer contacted the female and agreed to leave.
6:45 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Waterfall Circle to assist the Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a report of smoke inside a residence. The power was turned off and the source of the smoke was not located.
7:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to complainant about a civil matter.
8:45 PM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church and talked to complainant about a theft of plants.
10:06 PM – Officers initiated a traffic stop and officers were unable to identify the female driver. Officers released the driver with a verbal warning.
June 30
10:41 AM – Officer responded to Railroad St. at Bank St. for a report of a man defecating near the railroad tracks. Officer contacted an adult male who stated he was homeless but denied the allegations made against him.
11:20 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
11:20 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant about a shoplifter. An unknown male walked out of the store with unpaid merchandise.
1:30 PM – Officers responded to FM 2790 N at Main St. for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
7:30 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious person. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:40 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 SB Frontage Rd. for a report of a suspicious person. Officer was unable to locate the male subject.
July 1
9:18 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer about damage that was done wot the complainant’s vehicle overnight. The complainant believes it was her ex-boyfriend but did not see him do the damage to the vehicle.
10:49 AM – Officers responded to Railroad St. at Bank St. for a report of a father and son defecating on the railroad right of way. Officers instructed to discard the trash left behind from the area.
12:41 PM – Officer responded to Americuts to unlock a vehicle.
2:16 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General to unlock a vehicle.
2:55 PM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church for a report of a suspicious person in the Priest’s Garden. Officer contacted the person.
3:11 PM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of an alarm. The teller in the drive-thru inadvertently pushed the panic button.
4:32 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. to assist Child Protection Services.
7:32 PM – Officer responded to 18900 Blk. of Mason St. for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. The homeowner accidentally called 911 while he was cutting his grass.
7:55 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Oak St. for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. The complainant and her husband were in a verbal disagreement, no offense occurred.
10:10 PM – While patrolling at Juarez St. at Diaz St. officer noticed a man walking in the lot next to the city park with a flashlight. The man left in his vehicle as soon as he saw the officer. Traffic stop resulted in the discovery that the man was Geocaching and looking for a cache in the park.
10:50 PM – Officer responded to CR 681 at First St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the grass off the road. Officer spoke with the driver who stated he was watching videos on his phone. The driver went back to his house on CR 681.
July 2
12:37 AM – Officer initiated a field contact with a suspicious vehicle at the Taqueria Jalisco.
7:15 AM – Officer responded to H&S Cream Pop for a report of a male sitting on the front porch of the business during business hours frightening his female employees.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to the McDonald’s for a reported 2 vehicle minor accident.
July 3
12:05 AM – Officers conducted a field contact with a disabled vehicle in the 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. During the contact officers developed probable cause for a search of the vehicle. A male suspect evaded the scene on foot and during the foot pursuit the suspect assaulted the officer. The suspect got away. Criminal charges are pending. Sgt. Hanson was checked out by Lytle EMS at the scene.
1:26 AM – Officers responded to the 400 Blk. of Ala Blanca Dr. to assist ACSO with a disturbance.
8:19 AM – Officer responded to the Days Inn for a suspicious vehicle.
10:40 AM – Officers provided a funeral escort for Hurley’s Funeral Home to Lytle Community Cemetery.
10:51 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 to assist with changing a tire.
2:02 PM – Officer took a report over the phone regarding unwanted text messages.
3:29 PM – Officers responded to the 15000 Blk of Main St. to assist ACSO with a traffic stop.
8:24 PM – Officer contacted a suspicious vehicle in the 15300 Blk. of Main St.
10:19 PM – Officers responded to the 18600 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a report of fireworks being popped.
July 4
9:10 AM – Officers responded to the 15100 Blk. of Norvell St. for a disturbance.
10:27 AM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
11:10 AM – Officer contacted a subject burning brush in the 19200 Blk. of Easy St. The subject was advised to put the fire out.
7:36 PM – Officers responded to the 18500 Blk. of Live Oak St. for a report of threats.
8:19 PM – Officers contacted a subject “popping” fireworks in the 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St.
9:11 PM – Officers responded to the Lytle Mini Storage for a report of suspicious activity. Officers located the vehicle and determined scrap metal was being stolen from the property. A 45-year-old female subject was issued a citation of Theft < $100.
11:17 PM – Officers contacted a subject “popping” fireworks in the 15200 Blk. of Hester St.
