Lytle Police Report June 10-16

June 10
7:50 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Mini Storage and talked to complainant who reported that he found 2 locks missing from storage units. There are no signs of forced entry into either unit and nothing appears to be missing. Complainant will contact the tenants and have them call the Police Station if anything is missing.
9:00 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and filed a report in regards to a civil matter – child custody.

3:28 PM – Assist Atascosa Co. Officer responded to 1600 Blk. of FM 2790 E to assist Atascosa Co. with a reported disturbance. The suspect shot at complainant’s vehicle several times with a pellet gun. The vehicle was stopped on FM 2790 and Atascosa Co. handled the investigation.
3:55 PM – Officer responded to Country View Apartments for a report of a disturbance that occurred an hour prior. Officer attempted contact, but there was no answer at the door.
5:13 PM – Officer responded to 15800 Blk. of Lake Breeze for a report of an alarm. All was fine, family member was on site.
9:27 PM – Traffic stop at 18600 Blk. of N. Prairie St. resulted in the arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was cited and released.
11:42 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Cottage St. to assist Atascosa EMS with locating a residence concerning a woman having chest pains.
June 11
9:15 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and filed a report in regards to a civil matter – child custody.

2:33 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter that was being detained. Subjects took a $249 window AC unit without paying for it. Two were arrested for Theft > $100 < $750. Both were transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
3:45 PM – Complainant called the Police Station to report that she left her purse at HEB Backyard area. Complainant was informed to call her bank and credit card issuer.
4:00 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and reported a reckless driver on McDonald St. The caller reported a green Ford Expedition pulled into the HEB C-Store and swerving on McDonald St. Officer searched the area but could not locate the vehicle.
6:20 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run. No damage was observed.
6:44 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 N at FM 463 and removed a large/heavy piece of debris from the middle of the roadway that was causing a traffic hazard.
7:05 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
7:34 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a fight in progress. Officer arrived to find two victims and a witness sill on location. The suspect had fled in the seconds prior to officer’s arrival. One victim was driven to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
7:46 PM – While taking statement at HEB Plus for the previous assault call, officer was approached by an individual who reported an elderly female was stranded with a dead battery in a handicapped parking slot. Officer provided a jump start and then returned to the assault scene to complete investigation.
June 12
12:17 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Adams St. to assist Atascosa EMS with an elderly female having pain following surgery. The female was transported to Methodist Hospital.
12:45 AM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a man on the property who kept walking into the yard then back into the street repeatedly. Officer made contact with the male subject and provided a courtesy ride to Whataburger where a friend was waiting to drive him home.
1:15 AM – Officer responded to John Lott Park Pavilion for a report of a man who appeared to be sleeping under the pavilion. Officer spoke with the subject who stated he was just spending the night there.
1:38 AM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of an alarm. No signs of criminal activity.
2:52 AM – Officer responded to 18900 Blk. of N Prairie St. to assist Atascosa EMS with an elderly man having chest pains.
5:58 AM – Call for residential alarm/burglary in progress at 19500 Blk. of Bruce St. (which was actually the homeowner and son trying to get into their residence) resulted in the arrest for having an Active Felony Warrant for Criminal Nonsupport out of Atascosa Co. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail. The 13 YO son was released to his biological mother.
8:02 AM – Officer responded to John’s Small Engine Works for a report of a missing lawnmower.
8:17 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Harbour St. for a report of a welfare check on an elderly female. Upon arrival, it was discovered that she had fallen off her porch while walking down the steps. She refused EMS and agreed that her caregiver could take her to see the doctor.
1:42 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus in reference to a person with suicidal thoughts. Subject was placed in emergency detention and transported to Southwest General Hospital for an evaluation.
4:45 PM – Officers responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash. Before parties could exchange information, the driver of the other vehicle left the scene.
8:07 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a burglary of vehicle that occurred the previous day. Several jewelry pieces were taken from inside the vehicle.
8:35 PM – Officer responded to Lynda’s Trade Mart for a report of a verbal disturbance. Officer arrived and was unable to locate the caller.
11:45 PM – Officer responded to 100 Blk. of E White Wing Dr. Somerset, TX to assist Atascosa Co. with a physical disturbance.
June 13
11:48 AM – Officer responded to First Klass Cleaners for a report of a male subject begging for money. Officer arrived and identified the male and asked him to leave the premises.
1:43 PM – Officers responded to 14300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of 2 suspicious persons walking on Main St. Officer drove by the pair and all was okay.
2:02 PM – Officers responded to Lytle State Bank to assist Atascosa EMS with a possible stroke victim.
7:02 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a welfare check on a vehicle stopped at the shoulder of the roadway. The driver was on the phone ad didn’t want to text and drive.
8:32 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious person. Officer arrived and made contact with a male subject who was intoxicated. Officer provided a courtesy ride and was released to a family member.
10:11 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
June 14
7:30 AM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. to assist Animal Control for a sick raccoon.
8:14 AM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a two vehicle crash. Both parties had exchanged information and no report was filed.
10:35 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Houston St. and talked to complainant in reference to a reckless driver that continues to speed on Houston St.
10:45 AM – Officers responded to Hurley Funeral Home and provided funeral escort to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
12:00 PM – Officers responded to Great Clips for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was discovered the male and female subjects had fled the scene in a white sport Hyundai. Officers searched the area, unable to locate the vehicle.
12:32 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of S. Benton St. for a report of an open door to a residence. All was fine, the door was not properly secured.
2:03 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a female shoplifter. Unknown female exited the store with $100 worth of hair products without paying. HEB Loss Prevention Manager informed the officers this was not her first time. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the female described.
4:40 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a subject exposing himself in the parking lot. Officer was cancelled prior to arrival, subject departed.
8:38 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a purse that was left in a booth. Complainant stated purse had no value; however, $280 in cash and her TX DL were in the purse.
11:20 PM – Officer responded to Community Pool (Hester St.) to unlock a vehicle.
11:55 PM – While on patrol at 14400 Blk. of Main St. officer noticed two men with flashlights messing around the vehicles. Officer made contact with both men who stated they were removing an unfixable Toyota truck with owner’s permission.
June 15
12:30 AM – While on patrol at FM 463 at FM 2790, officer noticed two young males on bikes with backpacks on the shoulder. Officer identified the two males who stated they were heading to a residence about 2 miles away for a sleep over.
1:14 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. for a report of a loud music. Officer spoke with resident who agreed to turn their music down.
7:00 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a lost credit card insert with TX DL, credit card and social security card in it.
8:20 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 SB North of City to assist a motorist with a blowout.
1:41 PM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Cottage St. to unlock a vehicle.
7:44 PM – Officer responded to 2000 Blk. of FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a possible physical disturbance involving a female with a gun.
9:35 PM – Officer responded to Morales Feed & Supply for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
9:55 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. and provided a female a courtesy ride to CR 6844.
10:14 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a man who had purchased a beer for a minor. Case under investigation.
11:32 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Railroad St. to assist with a jump start.
June 16
2:55 AM – While on patrol at Best Western Plus officer noticed the outside door to the pool area open. Officer entered the darkened pool area and found a man in the hot tub by himself. Officer notified the clerk of incident.
4:44 AM – While on patrol at Twins on Main officer found an unlocked back door. Officer checked the business and no signs of criminal activity were found. Officer was able to lock the door on his way out.
7:45 AM – Officer responded to Camino Real to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a suicidal/homicidal patient.
10:30 AM – Officer responded to 14400 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a shotgun found at complainant’s property.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to The Gathering Church to unlock a vehicle.
2:11 PM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
2:25 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Houston St. for a report of a snake in complainant’s yard. Officer was unable to locate the snake.
9:20 PM – Officer discovered an abandoned vehicle which had license plates from another vehicle on it. The vehicle was unregistered, uninsured and damaged. Officer impounded vehicle.
9:50 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at Box House Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a vehicle refusing to stop
