Lytle Police Report July 19-25

July 19
2:56 AM – Traffic stop at S Somerset St. and Magnolia St. resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old male subject for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 < 1g. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:08 AM – Officer received a call for multiple vehicles running the stop sign at Lytle-Somerset St. and Bruce St. Officer monitored the stop sign and issued 3 citations within the hour for running the stop sign.
3:00 PM – Officer received a case from Atascosa Co. Sheriff’s Investigator in reference to an alleged Indecency with a Child that took place between February 2015 and May 2015. Case under investigation.
4:36 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N at FM 3175 and assisted a disabled motorist. The vehicle was towed to a repair shop at the driver’s request.
11:52 PM – Officer responded to 100 Blk. of Southview Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. with a male who saw people on his property. Officer was unable to locate anyone.
July 20
12:20 AM – Officer responded to 300 Blk. of Pinn Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with suspicious activity.
9:05 AM – While on patrol at 17900 Blk. of Rocky Circle, officer observed a vehicle parked in the driveway with the rear passenger door ajar. The homeowner was notified and it was determined the door was accidentally left open.
9:08 AM – Officers responded to Hurley’s Funeral Home to assist Atascosa EMS.
10:14 AM – While patrolling at FM 3175 and IH 35 N Access Road, officer drove upon a vehicle that had run out of fuel. A passing motorist assisted with fuel and the driver continued to his destination.
11:14 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 Access Road at FM 2790 for a report of an 18 wheeler causing a traffic hazard. The 18 wheeler was towed off the roadway.
11:29 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB for a report of a truck tractor trailer driving recklessly. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:32 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a reckless driver. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
6:40 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. Officer arrived and everything was okay.
9:08 PM – Officer assisted Lytle Public Works with locating a fallen tree obstructing the road. The tree was located and removed.
10:51 PM – Traffic stop at the 14900 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of 40-year-old male subject for Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions. Subject was issued a citation and released.
July 21
9:20 AM – Officers responded to Hurley Funeral Home and assisted with traffic control for a funeral.
12:58 PM – Officers responded to US Post Office for a welfare check on a female that seemed confused. The female was located and all was fine.
9:30 PM – Officers responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
July 22
10:33 AM – Officers responded to 18200 Blk. of IH 35 N to unlock a vehicle.
11:17 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer about her vehicle being damaged at HEB Plus a week prior and the insurance company requested she make a police report.
8:46 PM – While conducting a traffic stop at IH 35 S Frontage Rd. and Office St. the driver stated her right-rear tire was flat and asked for the officer’s assistance. Officer assisted with a compressor to air up her tire.
July 23
10:45 AM – While on patrol at Florence St. and S Pecan St. officer observed two adult ducks and a group of ducklings walking near the intersection creating a traffic hazard. Animal Control Officer was notified and made the scene.
11:19 AM – Officer responded to N Somerset St. at Main St. for a three-vehicle crash.
4:10 PM – Officers responded to 19200 Blk. of N Somerset St. and talked to complainant in reference to an unknown vehicle that struck his palm tree near his driveway. A set of tire tracks was located leading up to the tree. Total estimated value of tree $400.
8:27 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
9:42 PM – Officers responded to Tots to Teens for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was unoccupied and had been left at the parking lot for a while since the hood was cold to the touch.
11:11 PM – Officers responded to Yumm #10 and talked to a complainant in reference to being assaulted by an unknown customer.
July 24
7:35 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and reported a stray cow on Old Frio City Rd. Officer forwarded the information to Bexar Co. Sheriff’s Office due to jurisdiction.
9:25 AM – Officer responded to Hurley Funeral Home and provided a funeral escort.
12:30 PM – Officers were waved down by a passing motorist at Railroad St. and Davis St. and advised the officers about a man on a bicycle looking through the window of a residence. Officers made contact with the male individual and identified him. The male was released without further incident.
1:25 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a tree limb blocking the roadway. Upon arrival, the tree had been removed.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to Machinery Auctioneers for a report of an 18- wheeler parked on the property. Officer checked on the vehicle and noticed it was unattended.
4:47 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in reference to an attempted theft of groceries valued at $150. All merchandise was recovered.
9:58 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
11:00 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of loud music at the Bakery Pub. Officer arrived and the music was at a normal level.
July 25
3:55 AM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of N Benton St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
4:45 AM – Officer responded to 3000 Blk. of FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. with a disturbance.
1:14 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
9:45 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Ball Rd. for a report of a suspicious vehicle dropping off a male on the side of the road. Officer arrived and made contact with the male who did not want a courtesy ride and decided he was going to walk.
