Lytle Police Report July 10-16

July 10
10:20 AM – Complainant reported that he had three unauthorized charges on his CNB debit card, all occurred in Laredo.
10:45 AM – Complainant reported possible illegal activity, information taken.
1:44 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Public Library to assist a person who locked their keys in their vehicle.
2:16 PM – Officer assisted Lytle EMS with an elderly man that fell down at AutoZone.
3:28 PM – Officers responded to METRO PCS in the 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. One customer assaulted another customer. The victim opted not to file charges.
4:40 PM – Officers were dispatched to HEB Plus for a burglary of a motor vehicle; upon arrival officers were unable to locate the victim. Unknown if a crime occurred.
7:06 PM – Officers provided a courtesy transport from Somerset St. and Adams to a location on Greenwood Rd.
7:38 PM – Officers met with a complainant at Lytle City Hall that reported an issue with child custody.
8:30 PM – Officers responded to a report of two trespassers on the football field.
July 11
4:45 AM – Officer responded with Lytle FD to an activated smoke alarm.
11:17 AM – Complainant arrived at PD and had some information for the officer.
12:30 PM – Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on N. Somerset St. He determined the vehicle (2004 Ford F250) was reported stolen out of SAPD. It was taken on Thanksgiving Day from the Hilton on 410 near North Star Mall. The 56-year-old male driver was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
5:58 PM – Officers met with the daughter of the owner of the stolen vehicle. She provided additional information.
7:42 PM – Officers assisted AMR in the 15400 Blk. of Oak St.
8:10 PM – Report of a Reckless Driver at the HEB C-Store. Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
July 12
1:58 AM – Officer responded to the 15000 block of Main St. for an active alarm
1:00 PM – Complainant on Live Oak St. reported that loose dogs were harassing her llama during the night.
2:16 PM – Officer cited a 57-year-old female shoplifter at Family Dollar for theft.
4:10 PM – Officer spoke to a caller in reference to a civil matter.
5:20 PM – Officer dispatched for a disabled motorist on IH-35. Upon arrival motorist had repaired a tire and was on their way.
8:30 PM – Complainant in the 18000 block of Wisdom Rd. reported a Troy-Bilt gas weed eater valued at $100 was taken from his back yard. He was not sure of the last time he saw the item.
9:17 PM – Officers responded to the HEB convenience store to unlock a vehicle.
11:14 PM – Officer assisted Lytle EMS on Short St.
July 13
2:45 AM – Officer was dispatched to IH-35 for a vehicle going SB in the NB lane. Vehicle was stopped by Devine PD and Guzman assisted.
11:10 AM – Bexar Co. SO Detectives informed us that the vehicle taken from Best Western was recovered in San Antonio. When deputies attempted to stop it the suspect fled and a chase ensued. The vehicle had a blow out and the driver was arrested.
11:50 AM – A wallet was taken from a check stand at HEB Plus. Officers located a suspect who stated it was picked up by mistake. The wallet was later returned with all the contents. No charges filed.
1:05 PM – Welfare Check on a female walking on IH-35. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate.
1:18 PM – Officer located disabled vehicle on IH-35 and spoke with owner who said he had help on the way.
2:23 PM – Officer dispatched to Main St. to speak with a complainant about a theft. The complainant was referred to the Bexar Co. Sheriff’s Office.
3:15 PM – Officer was dispatched to the 15000 Blk. of Main St. to speak with a complainant about illegal dumping in their dumpster.
3:28 PM – Hang-up call from Best Western. Officers checked the location for any emergency situation, none was found.
4:00 PM – Officer responded to a report of a disruptive customer at Taco Bell. The subject departed.
10:17 PM – Suspicious person reported at Days Inn. Officer checked the area but the person had already departed.
11:48 PM – Officer took custody of a wallet that had been reported as stolen.
July 14
12:01 AM – Suspicious Person reported in the 19000 block of McDonald St. Officer located the person and spoke with him.
8:28 AM – Report of a man going through the dumpster at Best Western Plus. The individual was located and was given a courtesy transport towards his destination of Laredo.
9:05 AM – Officer located a loose pit bull on Main St. and Bank St. It was returned to the owner.
10:09 AM – Auto Zone staff requested a check on an abandoned trailer to make sure it wasn’t stolen.
10:28 AM – Officer responded to Dr. Dental on McDonald St. for a civil matter.
11:52 AM – Officer spoke with complainant at the police station who provided info on a case.
1:09 PM – Officer dispatched to the 1800 block of Creek St. for a civil matter involving child custody.
12:50 PM – Officer was dispatched to the Camino Real Crisis Center to assist La Salle County Sheriff’s Deputies who were involved in a struggle with person they were transporting. Upon arrival the scene was under control and the deputies and the person had departed.
2:02 PM – Officer assisted a private prisoner transport at McDonalds who needed assistance in opening the back door so the prisoners could be fed.
2:30 PM –Officer provided an escort from HEB Plus to Lytle State Bank.
3:14 PM –Minor two-vehicle accident at Pump House Car Wash.
4:00 PM – Complainant in the 15000 block of Main St. reported being harassed online.
7:39 PM – Officers assisted Lytle EMS at Lynda’s Apartments.
July 15
6:30 AM – Officer assisted DPS with a two-vehicle accident on IH-35 at mile marker 131.
12:18 PM – Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident at Main St. and McDonald St. No injuries and no visible damage.
12:34 PM – Officers spoke with complainant in the 18000 block of Wisdom Rd. about some unwanted property he had.
2:10 PM – Officers were dispatched to attempt to locate a stolen vehicle that was involved in a theft at Wal-Mart in Devine and was last seen heading North on IH-35.
5:20 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
5:30 PM – Officers responded to Morales Feed for an alarm. All was okay
9:00 PM – Officers spoke with a complainant that is going through a divorce
10:30 PM – Report of a cow on the road just out of city limits on FM 463. Officers lost the cow as it entered some brush.
July 16
9:47 AM – Officer responded to the Lytle High School Ag Shop for a fire alarm. False alarm.
11:47 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a child locked in a running vehicle. The vehicle was unlocked.
5:00 PM – Report of a suspicious vehicle at HEB Plus resulted in officers making a traffic stop.
5:35 PM – Officers responded to the 18000 block of Wisdom Rd. for a report of loud music causing a disturbance.
7:51 PM – Officers assisted the Atascosa Co. Sheriff’s Office with a disturbance in the 2600 block of FM 3175.
