Lytle Police Report July 1-6

July 1
1:10 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a report of a 911 hang up call from a disconnected mobile phone. Officer knocked on all doors and spoke to a majority of the residents. Unable to locate source of call.
1:53 AM – While conducting building checks at Subway officer located an unlocked back door. Officer checked the building and found no signs of criminal activity. Officer locked the door on the way out.
1:59 AM – While conducting building checks at 19400 Blk. of McDonald St. officer located an unlocked back door. Officer checked the building and found no signs of criminal activity. Officer locked the door on the way out.
6:44 AM – Officer responded to Morales Feed & Supply for a report of an alarm. Officer found no signs of criminal activity.
8:08 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
8:19 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a vehicle crash. Investigation resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old male subject and a 20-year-old male subject for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 4g – 200g. Both subjects were transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
10:50 AM – Officer was flagged down by Lynda’s Trade Mart in reference to a female with breathing problems. Officer notified Atascosa EMS who arrived and transported the female to a San Antonio Hospital.
3:45 PM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for a concealed handgun permit.
3:29 PM – Officers responded to 15600 Blk. of CR 681 for a report of an alarm. Upon arrival, officers met with the homeowner who stated she was unaware she had set off the alarm.
4:43 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:00 PM – Officer was informed by Atascosa Co. that the 2002 Ford F350 that was stolen on 6/28/19 was recovered by Bexar Co.
8:10 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of N. Prairie St. and conducted a follow up investigation.
9:00 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm.
11:00 PM Capt. Reyes – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a possible credit/debit card abuse. It was undetermined if any debit card transactions were made.
11:18 PM – Officer responded to Morales Feed & Supply for an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:22 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn for an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
July 2
12:35 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
1:05 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. in regards to an abandoned package of cigarillos found. The package was disposed of.
1:20 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a suspicious vehicle. Officer made contact with the driver who advised that family members were on the way to assist because her vehicle had ran out of fuel.
4:30 AM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a report of complainant requesting extra patrol due to ex-boyfriend harassing her in the past.
8:49 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 at Rolling Meadows to assist Bexar Co. with a two vehicle crash.
9:30 AM – Officers responded to 14900 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. to unlock a vehicle.
3:02 PM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a medical alarm going off. Upon arrival, the resident advised he was just testing the pendant.
7:02 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at Mile Marker 132 for a report of a hit & run. Officer searched the area, unable to locate accident.
8:20 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:15 PM – Officer responded to First Baptist Church for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:45 PM – While conducting a security check at Best Western Plus, officer observed some unsecured tools near the dumpster. Officer made the front desk clerk aware of the situation.
July 3
3:01 AM – While conducting security check at Mc Self Storage officer found a stage unit empty. No signs of criminal activity noted.
4:04 AM – While on patrol at 14600 Blk. of Main St. officer observed a man sleeping on the sidewalk. The male subject stated he had gotten into a disagreement with his girlfriend and was dropped off. The subject departed on foot.
5:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
5:31 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
6:15 PM – Officers responded to 18200 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a large snake.
8:59 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Animal Control for a report of a suspicious vehicle at facility. Officers made contact with a female who had run out of fuel.
July 4
2:39 AM – Officers responded to Park & Ride in reference to two suspicious persons in a vehicle.
3:30 AM – Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for disregarding the stop sign at Lytle Somerset St. and Bruce St. The vehicle driver drove off and turned onto Gate St. then stopped again. Officer took the driver into custody, then released the driver.
3:35 AM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of an alarm.
6:47 AM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of an activated panic alarm. Officer arrived and made contact with employees who stated they did not activate the alarm.
1:31 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 130 to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a reported grass fire.
2:28 PM – Officers responded to US Renal Care for a report of a welfare check on a stranded patient. Upon arrival, officers discovered an elderly male waiting outside in his wheelchair for his son. Moments later, complainant’s son arrived to pick up his father.
2:32 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. to assist a stranded motorist with pushing the vehicle off the roadway.
2:41 PM – Officer responded to 14500 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle had pulled into the complainant’s driveway and turned around as soon as the suspect saw the complainant.
6:45 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a woman causing a disturbance because of a closed check stand. The suspect woman departed prior to officer’s arrival.
6:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a welfare check on a possible intoxicated driver. The driver departed prior to officer’s arrival.
8:36 PM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of Live Oak St. for a report of a vehicle blocking a resident’s drive way. Officer arrived and noticed the vehicle was not blocking the drive way.
9:00 PM – Officer were flagged down by concerned citizens at the 4th of July celebration who pointed out a pickup truck that had parked dangerously close to the railroad tracks. The truck, while trying to get out of the way of a northbound train, became trapped between parked vehicle and the track. The truck was able to move once everyone cleared out from the festivities.
9:02 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an assault in progress between a man and a woman. Officer arrived to discover the man had already fled. The victim identified the man as her boyfriend but was uncooperative and intoxicated.
10:10 PM – Officer responded to Live Oak St. at Mason St. and assisted the public with a jump start.
July 5
12:02 AM – Officers responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
4:26 AM – EMS Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Harbor St. to assist Medina Co. EMS with a female who had taken too many pills. The female was taken to Southwest General Hospital.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of a panic alarm. Officer arrived and spoke with employees who stated the alarm was pushed by accident.
4:16 PM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. to assist Atascosa EMS. Upon arrival, it was discovered that EMS was not needed and the caller simply needed help with his electrical wheelchair.
5:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported a civil matter – property dispute.
July 6
12:12 AM – Officers responded 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. and assisted motorist with changing her tire.
4:35 AM – Officer responded to Sonic Drive-In for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
10:46 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer made contact with the homeowner who advised everything was okay; the resident just got a new alarm system.
11:20 AM – Officer released a shotgun which was recovered as stolen on 5/9/19. A joint investigation with Arlington PD determined that the owner mistakenly reported the shotgun as stolen to Arlington PD.
12:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of an identified suspect who stole a pack of beef jerky and a fountain drink. A 44-year-old male subject was later contacted and issued a citation for Theft < $100 and he was also issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.
12:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a burglary of vehicle. The victim reported a softball gear bag containing $1,100 worth of equipment was taken out of the bed of his truck. The suspect was identified by police through video surveillance. The bag was eventually returned to the Police Station by the suspect once he was contacted. Since the property was returned, charges were not wished to be filed by the victim.
6:17 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of N. Prairie St. to conduct a follow up investigation on an open case. The victim was not home.
8:10 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Public Works Bldg. for a report of a suspicious vehicle driving around the building. Officer located the vehicle and the driver stated he made a wrong turn. All was okay.
July 7
1:49 PM – Officer responded to 18900 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a report of a verbal disturbance between complainant and a subject walking a dog down the street. Officer spoke with both parties and determined that due to emotions the event got out of hand.
5:03 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of an unknown suspect who stole complainant’s iPad from the restroom.
7:25 PM – Officer responded to Dollar Tree a theft of a 7” Samsung Tablet. The customer had put down the tablet on a shelf and briefly walked away then an unknown person(s) stole the tablet.
7:50 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of N. Prairie St. to conduct a follow up investigation on an open case. The victim was not home.
