Lytle Police Report Jan. 6-12

Jan. 6
9:00 AM – Officer responded to Lazy J Trail at Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. No signs of criminal activity noted.
1:00 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Railroad St. and talked to complainant in reference to illegal dumping in complainant’s dumpster.
3:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported that an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot of the HEB Plus. No suspect(s) or other information at this time.
4:59 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of 3 adults smoking marijuana. Upon arrival, officer spoke with 3 adult females that were allegedly involved. There was no sign or smell of marijuana when officer approached them.
11:42 PM – While patrolling at IH 35 N and FM 2790 E, officer noticed a vehicle parked on the shoulder with its hazard lights on. Officer made contact with the driver who stated he was tired and taking a nap. Officer advised the driver to find a safer spot to sleep, the driver moved on.
Jan. 7
12:59 AM – While on patrol, officer noticed a dump truck being driven in the material yard at the Lytle Oil Exchange. Officer spoke with the driver who stated he had a late work detail in San Antonio and was just returning.
11:46 AM – Officer responded to Lytle High School to unlock a vehicle.
4:20 PM – Officer responded to 15800 Blk. of Lake View Dr. for a report of a civil matter.
Jan. 8
10:37 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Mini Storage and talked to complainant in regards to an attempt to cut off one of the unit’s locks.
10:41 AM – Officers responded to Camino Real for a report of a physical disturbance. Officers were advised on scene that it was not physical and the patient was going to be sent to a higher level of care.
2:18 PM – While on bike patrol, officers observed a brown Cadillac parked at Railroad St. and Davis St. with the passenger door wide open. Upon further inspection, the vehicle was greatly damaged with two occupants inside. The occupants were assaulted in Bexar Co. at an earlier date. Everything was secure.
3:07 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of damage done to a pipe railing.
5:50 PM – Officer responded to Community National Bank to assist a female motorist with a dead battery. The alternator was out and the female called her father to pick her up.
6:30 PM – While on patrol, officer was flagged down by a resident of Richard Dr. Complainant talked to officer in regards to a text she received and a small white suspicious vehicle on Richard Dr. earlier. Extra patrols were added in the area.
6:45 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to someone using the complainant’s social security number.
Jan. 9
12:03 AM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of Blume Dr. and talked to complainant who stated a family member took her vehicle without permission. The vehicle was later recovered in the city of Live Oak.
11:16 AM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a vehicle that had been parked at the location since 2am. Officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle who stated she was kicked out of her residence and was living in her vehicle.
7:55 PM – While patrolling the area, officer observed a suspicious dark colored pick up at Bobby’s Used Cars. The owner of the property was notified and stated the person was supposed to come the next day but approved him taking what he wanted.
Jan. 10
9:30 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of N. Bank for a report of an alarm.
2:50 PM – Officer released property to rightful owner.
6:40 PM – Officer responded to Little Caesars for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:50 PM – Officers responded to In Fab to assist Atascosa EMS with a subject calling for help. Subject crashed his bike prior to the storm and was out in the storm as it passed. Subject had a minor head injury and was hypodermic. EMS transported the subject to Southwest General Hospital.
8:14 PM – Officers responded to In Fab for a report of a fleet vehicle that hit a pole at location. Atascosa Co. DPS worked the accident.
8:22 PM – Officers responded to Medina Valley Security for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
9:30 PM – Officers responded to S. Somerset St. at Lytle Somerset St. for a report of a welfare check. Officers made contact with subject who was given a courtesy ride home.
Jan. 11
12:05 AM – While on patrol on Main St. and McDonald St. officer noticed the traffic lights were out. Officer did traffic control until the traffic lights were operational.
8:02 AM – Traffic stop at McDonald St. and Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old male subject for having a Warrant out of Nolan Co. for Original Charge of Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 > 4g < 200g. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and the vehicle was impounded.
12:00 PM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of Rocky Circle Dr. for a report of a lost driver’s license.
12:25 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run.
3:15 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home to unlock a vehicle.
4:05 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Harbour St. for a report of an unknown person(s) who attempted to forcibly open the door with a pry bar.
10:52 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of two stray dogs at the location. Officer spoke with the complainant who had the dogs in his fenced yard and stated he found the dogs wandering at McDonalds. Officer attempted to call Animal Control Officer but was unable to make contact. Complainant agreed to keep the dogs until morning when Animal Control can be contacted.
Jan. 12
5:38 AM – Officer responded to 14300 Blk. of FM 2790 W for a report of a vehicle vs deer collision. No injuries reported and the vehicle was drivable.
7:50 AM – Officers responded to Bealls for a report of an abandoned purse next to a vehicle. The scene was initially handled as a possible kidnapping. The owner of the property was eventually located and no foul play occurred.
9:20 AM – Officer responded to Norvell St. for a report of a vehicle revving the engine and causing a noise complaint as it was driving down the road. Officer patrolled the area, unable to locate.
10:25 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
11:00 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 and made contact with complainant who reported a vehicle sideswiped his vehicle and departed the scene.
5:27 PM – Officer received a phone call from the manager at the Pumphouse Carwash in regards to an 18 wheeler blocking the roadway. Upon arrival, the truck was leaving.
6:23 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real and conducted an Emergency Mental Health Detention and a male subject was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
9:32 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Gate St. for a report of a missing person report. Upon arrival, it was discovered the person was missing from Elmendorf, TX. The complainant was advised to contact Bexar Co. Sheriff’s Office.
