Lytle Police Report Jan. 28-Feb. 3

Jan. 28
1:43 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the alley/road beside the hotel. Officer made contact with the driver who stated he was repairing a broken fuel line for a friend that was staying at the hotel. Officer spoke with the hotel clerk who stated the friend was not a guest at the hotel and the vehicle was not registered to a guest.
2:30 AM – Officer responded to all Lytle railroad crossings for a report of a broken train blocking all crossings. Officer noted only N. Prairie St. was open.
4:39 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of an unknown man walking around the interior of the hotel. Officer searched the interior and exterior of the hotel, unable to locate the male.
11:00 AM – Officers responded to 19500 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a structure fire.
12:06 PM – Officers responded to 1200 Blk. of Naegelin Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a call.
1:36 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in reference to being harassed by her estranged husband while at work.
2:30 PM – Traffic stop at 63300 Blk. of Diaz St. resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old male subject for Possession of Marijuana < 2 oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, the arrest of a 17-year-old male subject for Possession of Marijuana < 2 oz., and the arrest of a 21-year-old subject for Possession of Marijuana < 2 oz., Possession of Controlled Substance PG3 < 28g, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three subjects were transported to Medina Co. Jail. Citations issued for paraphernalia cases.
6:27 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus and talked to officer in reference to a minor accident. Officers made contact with the drivers who stated they were going to make arrangements among themselves and a police report was not going to be needed.
Jan. 29
11:25 AM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a male wanting help from law enforcement. Officers arrived and provided a courtesy ride to a gas station on Shepherd Rd.
9:59 PM – Officers responded to 14800 Blk. of Star Cross Trail for a report of a water leak. Public Works was notified.
10:39 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Diamond B Trail for a report of a dog barking at the window facing the backyard of complainant’s home. Officers searched the area and found the dog was barking at a big raccoon.
Jan. 30
7:55 AM – Officer responded to Bealls for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
9:10 AM – Officer received a sexual assault case from Medina Co. S.O. after their investigation resulted in the discovery that the offense occurred in Lytle.
10:55 AM – Officer responded to 15800 Blk. of White Cap Dr. to attempt to locate a miss-delivered package. Officer was unable to locate.
11:45 AM – Officers provided funeral escort from Prevailing Word Church to Lytle Community Cemetery.
4:40 PM – Officer responded to 100 CR 6843 to unlock a vehicle.
4:52 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a verbal disturbance over a vehicle that was towed by Subway manager that belonged to a Lytle Dental Patient.
5:05 PM – Atascosa Co. SO contacted officer and forwarded information from Union Pacific train crew about a school bus that drove around the crossing arms.
7:51 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter fleeing the HEB Store. Officers located the vehicle as it pulled into Dollar General. Investigation resulted in the arrest of a 47-year-old male subject for Theft < $2,500 enhanced to a State Jail Felony with two previous convictions. He was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail. Suspect’s wife 40-year-old wife was arrested for Theft < $100, she was cited and released.
11:17 PM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind the hotel. Upon arrival, vehicle was not at location. Atascosa Co. Deputy then found the vehicle matching description in the parking lot of Whataburger. Officers made contact and identified the driver. The driver confirmed it was him at the hotel and that he was there waiting for his girlfriend.
Jan. 31
8:30 AM – Officers responded to John Lott Park to unlock a vehicle.
1:28 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Harbour St. to unlock a vehicle.
1:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a vehicle illegally parked in the disabled parking space.
5:35 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a harassment between complainant’s daughter and a classmate. Based on information provided, no offense occurred. Officer referred complainant back to the school principal.
6:37 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger and talked to complainant in reference to a vehicle slightly hitting another vehicle at the drive-thru. No damage occurred to either vehicle. Neither party wanted to file a report. They exchanged information.
9:50 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 for a report of a disabled vehicle in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
Feb. 1
6:47 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Primary School for a report of a 9 YO boy running shoeless in the street. The child was located at Cottage St. and N Prairie St and he was still running. The child was detained until a guardian could be located. The child was identified and returned to his mother.
1:50 PM – Officer returned a misdelivered package to the proper residence on CR 6841.
2:44 PM – Officers responded to Whataburger to unlock a vehicle.
7:28 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to assist Atascosa Co. with a welfare check on a female that was involved in a disturbance on Kinney Rd.
8:13 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in regards to vehicle damage. Complainant’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by a vehicle parked parallel to him. A minor dent was left on the complainant’s driver side vehicle.
Feb. 2
5:15 AM – While on patrol, officers noticed a suspicious vehicle parked at Lytle Elementary. Officers made contact with the driver and passenger who needed help getting back on Highway 90.
9:55 AM – Officers responded to 18700 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a report of a possible traffic hazard due to numerous vehicles parking on the side of the road attending an estate sale.
2:25 PM – Officers responded to Lydia’s Trade Mart for a report of a theft of a belt buckle valued at $259.
3:16 PM – Officer responded to Little Caesars for a report of a two vehicle crash.
3:35 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman. Investigation resulted in the discovery that the disturbance was verbal only.
6:22 PM – Traffic stop in the 15000 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old male passenger for having an Active Warrant out of Bexar Co. for Injury to a Child. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
Feb. 3
12:04 AM – Officer responded 15500 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a suspicious person. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
1:47 AM – Officers responded to Lake Crest to assist Atascosa Co. with complainant claiming a group of people attempted to break into their mobile home.
2:58 AM – Officers responded to FM 476 at Royal Oaks Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. with a subject drinking behind a bar. Officers were cancelled before arrival.
1:50 PM – Officer responded to Taco Bell for a report of complaining about panhandlers asking for money and then seen leaving in a brand new vehicle.
7:39 PM – While on patrol at IH 35 N Access Rd. officers noticed a vehicle parked at the Carpool Lot. During the contact with the driver a strong odor of burn marijuana was detected coming from inside the vehicle. An 18-year-old male subject and a 17-year-old male subject were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released.
11:35 PM – Officers responded to 15500 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a motorcycle passing by a residence revving their engines. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
