Lytle Police Report Feb. 19-25

Feb. 19
1:15 AM – Officer made contact with a subject walking near the Lytle Primary School at N. Benton St. and Laredo St. Officer identified the subject and conducted a records check which revealed no outstanding warrants. No evidence of criminal activity, subject was released.
1:50 AM – Officer dispatched to Main St. at the Medina Co. line for a welfare concern.
2:00 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home to unlock a vehicle.
4:20 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death of a female subject.
3:38 AM – Officer responded to Diaz St. at railroad tracks for a report of a train blocking the crossing. The train was repaired and continued southbound.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
5:45 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of FM 2790 E to assist the public with a wheelchair bound male crossing the roadway by stopping traffic.
5:50 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a verbal disturbance along the road between 2 drivers. Officer was unable to locate.
Feb. 20
10:35 AM – Officers responded to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church to provide funeral escort from location to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
11:30 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station to report his renter has been picking up their mail packages at the US Post Office. Complainant just wanted officer to speak with the renter and ask her to stop.
1:00 PM – Officer initiated an investigation on a status of a driver’s license.
2:46 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a missing person. Complainant reported a patient walked out of the facility on February 16, 2018 at 2 pm and has not been seen at his residence in Laredo, TX.
2:57 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a two vehicle crash.
8:51 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Magnolia St. for a report of a missing gun. Complainant advised either he misplaced it or the gun was stolen out of his pickup truck.
9:15 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom St. at Norvell St. for report of a male subject walking being followed by an SUV. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.
11:30 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the residence to be secure.
Feb. 21
9:09 AM – Traffic stop at 14700 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old male subject for having two Active Warrants out of Medina Co. for DWI 2nd and Driving While License Suspended. Subject was transported to Medina Co. Jail.
10:45 AM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and provided funeral escort from location to the south city limits, funeral was headed to Devine.
11:35 AM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of possible check forgery involving two checks valued at $1,100 combined.
2:40 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. to unlock a vehicle.
3:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station to report two cell phones that were lost during delivery. Complainant advised that the cell phones were said to be delivered at a wrong address that didn’t exist.
Feb. 22
4:18 PM – Officer responded to Sun Loans for a report of a two vehicle crash. The parties departed prior to officer’s arrival.
4:58 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a possible intoxicated pedestrian. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:32 PM – Officer responded to 13000 Blk. of Old Frio City Rd. to assist Bexar Co. SO and Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a patient. Officer arrived and turned out to be a verbal disturbance.
9:02 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. at Gate St. for a report of a civil matter – standby.
9:25 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a report of a propane smell in the air. A small amount of odor was noted around the big tank on Benton St. and Main St. Owner was notified and had workers respond to the area. A propane tank had been turned in with a leak and had been bleeding out earlier.
Feb. 23
12:25 AM – Officer responded to Lucky Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a driver reporting a person jumping on her vehicle as she was driving down Lucky Rd. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
5:10 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 N to south of city limit for a report of an accident along the highway. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate.
7:00 AM – Officer responded to S. Somerset St. at Magnolia St. for a report of a dislodged manhole cover. Officer arrived and stood by until Lytle Public Works Director arrived and replaced the cover.
3:43 PM – Officer dispatched to Riding High Customs for loud music.
5:30 PM – Complainant contacted the PD in reference to an incident that occurred at the Jr. High Campus. The complainant was referred to the School Resource Officer.
5:50 PM – Report of a reckless driver at the HEB Plus.
Feb. 24
3:53 AM – Officer assisted MCSO with a crash on IH 35 at mile marker 129
2:20 PM – Routine Traffic stop on N. Prairie St. @ Cottage St. resulted in the arrest of a 53-year-old male subject for an active warrant out of Bexar Co. for Display Fictitious or Altered License Plate. The subject was booked into the ACSO Jail.
10:45 PM – Officer assisted BCSO with a crash in the 13000 Blk. of Old Frio City Rd.
Feb. 25
1:45 AM – Officer assisted ACSO with a subject walking down the IH 35 Frontage Rd. near mile marker 130.
8:46 AM – Officer was dispatched to the 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a theft of a firearm from an unsecured vehicle.
2:20 PM – Officer was dispatched to the 15700 Blk. of Main St. in reference to an assault that occurred the previous night. Case under investigation.
2:58 PM – Officer was dispatched to the John Lott Park for an unsecured door at the Concession Stand.
8:27 PM – Recovered Officer was notified by Alamo Heights PD that the handgun Lytle PD entered as stolen was recovered after a suspect was arrested for Robbery.
11:00 PM – Officer assisted Union Pacific Railroad with a disabled train.
