Lytle Police Report Feb. 18-24

Feb. 18
12:05 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the back by the dumpster. Officer was unable to make the call due to being tied up with a juvenile. Atascosa Co. Deputy handled the call.
12:35 AM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of StarCross Trail for a report of a suspicious male in complainant’s back yard. Officer arrived and searched the area, unable to locate anyone.
1:50 AM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of StarCross Trail for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of complainant’s residence. Officer arrived and searched the area, unable to locate.
2:30 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB at Mile Marker 131 to assist Medina Co. with a report of a one vehicle rollover. Officer located a vehicle that had a flat tire off to the side of the road.
8:12 AM – Officer responded to US Post Office for a report of a loose goat in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:30 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger to unlock a vehicle.
12:33 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of StarCross Trail for a report of found property in complainant’s backyard. Complainant turned in found property to officer, a small baggie of marijuana was recovered.
1:51 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of IH 35 Access Rd. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
3:11 PM – Officers responded to CR 6710 for a report of a solicitor in the area. Offices made contact with subject and he was advised to obtain a permit from the city.
4:49 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 Access Rd at FM 3175 to assist a disabled motorist. Officers arrived and searched the area, unable to locate.
5:39 PM – Officers responded to Grand Lytle Apts. for a report of a burglary of vehicle. An unknown suspect stole a snare drum from the vehicle. Total estimated value $400.
7:18 PM – Officer responded to Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a solicitor in the area. Officer arrived and searched the area, unable to locate.
Feb. 19
2:55 AM – Officer made contact with an elderly lady walking in the 15200 Blk. of Oak St. All was ok, she was out walking her dog.
10:50 AM – While on patrol by HEB Plus, officers were flagged down by a male subject requesting information. Complainant had questions regarding a civil matter.
4:19 PM – Officers were dispatched to Valero for a report of a suspicious male. Officers made contact with the male subject. Officers provided a courtesy ride to a residence in San Antonio.
9:20 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a welfare check on a woman who was involved in a verbal disturbance. Officers arrived and were advised that the woman had received a courtesy ride by a traveling motorist.
9:45 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of an individual who had walked out with an energy drink without paying for it. The individual paid for the drinks and was released.
10:31 PM – Officers responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. and talked to complainant in reference to an unknown vehicle that has been parking across from complainant’s residence for an unknown number of days. It’ll be parked for coupled of days, the leave and come back to park at the same spot.
Feb. 20
1:00 AM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a suspicious man with a backpack walking down the road. Officers patrolled the area, unable to locate.
1:42 AM – Officers responded to FM 2790 at IH 35 Frontage Rd. to assist a stranded motorist. The individual had run out of gas. Officers provided a courtesy ride to HEB Gas Station and then back to his vehicle.
3:30 AM – While on patrol 15000 Blk. of Main St. officers noticed a man walking down the street with his jeans wet and a torn jacket. Officers spoke with the individual to make sure all was well. Individual was walking to the store, officers offered him a courtesy ride but he declined.
11:00 AM – Officers responded to Main St. at N Somerset St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
1:30 PM – Officer talked to complainant in regards to a forged check on her bank account. It was determined the check was cashed in Iowa.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
5:07 PM – Officer took a report in regards to an incident that occurred at the Lytle Jr. High. It was later determined that the Medina Co. Deputy/SRO was handling the situation.
9:00 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 131 to assist Atascosa Co. with locating a vehicle that was being tracked by Homeland Security. Officers were unable to locate.
Feb. 21
2:00 AM – Officers responded to FM 3175 at Atascosa River to assist Atascosa Co. with loose livestock.
5:44 AM – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a 50-year-old subject for having an Active Warrant out of Medina Co. for Failure to Appear on a Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1gm. Subject was transported to Medina Co. Jail.
8:42 AM – Officers responded to Morales Feed and Supply for an alarm. Officers were cancelled prior to arrival.
10:00 AM – Complainant called the office and spoke with officer in reference to his flatbed trailer that was taken from a residence on S. Somerset St. Complainant was advised to call back with information of trailer such as trailer plates in order to enter it as stolen.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
6:19 PM – While patrolling the area at 14900 Blk. of Railroad St., officer provided a courtesy ride to a resident.
Feb. 22
7:58 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 Access Rd. at FM 3175 for a report of a commercial vehicle parked in the area blocking the bank entrance. Officers located the vehicle on FM 3175 just down from the bank and all was fine.
12:25 PM – Officers provided an escort for Lytle ISD basketball team leaving out of town to the playoffs.
1:30 PM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprinting for work purposes.
1:44 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Jr. High as a request from staff due to parents inside a meeting with the Vice Principal that were upset. All was fine.
5:38 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a disturbance. Reports were that all subjects departed. While responded, Lytle PD was advised of a crash on TX 132 leaving the city limits. Lytle PD arrived at scene which turned out to be the suspect from the HEB Plus disturbance. An assault investigation in regards to the HEB Plus altercation is underway.
7:47 PM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of a reckless driver. Officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver. All was fine.
8:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in reference to a white crystal like substance that was found in a baggie. The officer took custody of the possible contraband.
9:10 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Hester St. to assist Atascosa Co. with a recovered missing juvenile. The juvenile waited at the police station until Atascosa Co. Deputy arrived to recover the juvenile.
9:43 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The male half party departed prior to officer’s arrival.
10:09 PM – Officer responded to 300 CR 6842 and assisted the county with a physical disturbance.
Feb. 23
1:00 AM – Officer responded to 15500 Blk. of Main St. for a report of several people in complainant’s back yard. Officer checked the area, unable to locate anyone.
1:10 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ to unlock a vehicle.
1:18 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of a disturbance.
1:55 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a disturbance. A 27-year-old male subject was arrested for Assault Bodily Injury. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
3:12 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of an unidentified person who pushed a basket filled with grocery store items through the exit door and into the parking lot. Two other males were involved and the three left the premises in a white colored Ford F150 pickup truck.
5:04 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Feed Store for a report of a man who had a minor seizure. Subject was transported to Methodist Hospital.
Feb. 24
4:22 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a driver asleep behind the wheel. Officer made contact with the driver and advised to park and rest for a bit before driving off.
10:33 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 N Access Rd at FM 2790 E for a report of a reckless driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed the driver had an expired license. Subject was cited for Expired Driver’s License and a written warning for Reckless Driver was given.
12:50 PM – Officers responded to CR 6710 at FM 2790 S for a report of a suspicious vehicle driving around Lake Shore Estates and taking videos of homes. Officers made contact with Sgt. Hanson who was talking to the suspicious vehicle driver. Sgt. Hanson found and stated that the driver of the vehicle was driving around the neighborhood showing her husband via Facetime, who is currently in Afghanistan, the subdivision. The driver stated they are looking for a house to buy and retire and were interested in buying in Lake Shore.
2:47 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a family disturbance. It was found to be a verbal altercation between two brothers. No offence was committed.
4:20 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
6:30 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
9:00 PM – Officers responded to 15200 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:29 PM – Officers responded to 19200 Blk. of Blume Dr. for a report of a missing 14 YO female. Complainant stated her daughter might be staying with her boyfriend who lives at the stated address. Officer spoke with the homeowner who stated that he had not seen the run-away nor his son since Friday.
