Lytle Police Report Feb. 17-23

Feb. 17
12:34 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a possible intoxicated driver in the drive thru lane. Officer arrived and made contact with the driver. A 25-year-old male subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
3:28 AM – Officers responded to 200 Blk. of Las Palomas Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a disturbance.
9:39 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home and talked to complainant in reference to his personal bank account.
11:46 AM – Officer responded to Quicksilver Automotive for a report of a stolen 2000 Ford F250.
8:17 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of a shoplifter. Officer arrived and made contact with the complainant who stated an unidentified Hispanic male who was in the store and ran out with 4 Gain detergent pods packages. Total estimated loss $20.
9:26 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a theft. Officer made contact with the complainant who stated a white female with purple hair walked into the store and left with a bag of beef jerky, chocolate milk and a bag full of burritos and kolaches. Total estimated loss $20.
Feb. 18
11:18 AM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to his neighbor revving his car engine throughout all hours of the night. Officer made contact with the homeowner and advised him of the situation.
12:05 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. to assist Lytle Animal Control with a loose goat. Animal Control Officer made the scene and secured the goat with the owner. The owners were advised they need a permit to have goats at their residence.
1:31 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
10:15 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station to speak with an officer in reference to his case.
10:30PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a talk to an officer.
Feb. 19
6:26 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
8:30 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
10:55 AM – Officer responded to Fitness 4 Life and conducted a follow up investigation.
1:13 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Lake St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a possible heart attack victim. The male patient was transported to the hospital by EMS.
10:35 PM – While on patrol at Quicksilver Automotive officer noticed a suspicious vehicle at the business. Officer made contact with a female who stated she had come in late to finish up some bookkeeping for her father.
Feb. 20
3:59 AM – Officer responded to CR 6846 to assist Medina Co. Sheriff and Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a mobile home on fire.
7:48 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Miler Marker 131 to assist Atascosa Co. with a vehicle search. The driver of the vehicle was arrested by an Atascosa Co. Deputy.
6:28 PM – Officer responded to 15800 Blk. of Third St. and talked to complainant in reference to her 14 YO son who was assaulted at the Lytle Jr. High during school. Complainant was advised to contact the SRO and file a report since the incident occurred at school.
9:45 PM – Officer responded to Grand Somerset Apartments to assist Atascosa EMS with a 10 week old child having difficulty breathing.
Feb. 21
5:05 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of S. Somerset St. to assist Atascosa Co. with an 83 YO man having cardiac problems.
5:52 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
1:50 PM – Officer responded to19400 Blk. of S. Benton St. and talked to complainant in reference to an unknown person using the water and electricity when the resident is at work.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at FM 2790 overpass to assist Atascosa Co. with a traffic stop/vehicle search.
4:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for cell phone that was found.
4:27 PM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. for a report of a black pick up driving recklessly. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:30 PM – Officer responded to Creek St. at IH 35 S for a report of a civil matter/child custody.
10:14 PM – Officer responded to 300 Blk. of Dove Creek to assist Atascosa Co. with a residential alarm.
10:41 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 131 SB for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:34 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Harbour St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
Feb. 22
1:46 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of possibly intoxicated driver at the driver thru. Officer arrived and made contact with the 40-year-old male driver who was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 1st. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
5:00 AM – Officer responded to Star Food Mart for a report of a burglary. Officer arrived and found a broken front door. Officer made contact with the owner and saw video footage. Officer observed two unidentified male subjects who grabbed an unknown amount of cigarettes.
8:00 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger to unlock a vehicle.
9:22 AM – Officer responded to Freeway Insurance for a report of an alarm. The employees had forgotten the alarm code, all was okay.
10:30 AM – Officers responded to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and assisted with a funeral escort to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
11:15 AM – Officers responded to Lytle United Methodist Church and assisted with a funeral escort to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
2:35 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of S. Benton St. to check if anyone was using the utilities when the homeowner is not at home. Officer observed no usage.
4:40 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at FM 3175 for a report of two vehicle crash.
4:45 PM – The officer met a victim at the Police Station who stated he was assaulted in the 15100 Blk. of Main St.
8:00 PM – Officer responded to 14400 Blk. of Main St. for a report of loud music in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:33 PM – Officer responded to Lake Shore Dr. for a report of a golf cart on the roadway. Officer spoke with the resident and gave the resident a verbal warning.
Feb. 23
12:50 AM – Officer responded to Shannon Ct. & W FM 476 at Somerset TX to assist Atascosa Co. with a large party.
9:28 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to assist a motorist change a flat tire.
12:40 PM – Officers responded to Valero for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, the customer was leaving the gas station. Officers spoke to both parties who stated the other was rude and uncooperative.
12:52 PM – Offices responded to HEB Plus for a report of a stolen 2004 Ford F250 pickup.
1:26 PM – Officers responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of suspicious people at the drive-thru of the bank. Upon arrival, it was discovered a crew of three men were changing old paperwork holders with a newer mode.
4:45 PM – Officer responded to 1800 Blk. of CR 6710 for a report of a loose calf in the area. The calf was located and was put back into a field.
8:00 PM – Officer responded to Dollar Tree for a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the suspicious person had departed.
10:31 PM – Officer responded to Laredo St. at Wisdom Rd. for a report of a bent stop sign. Officer pushed the sign straight upright. Lytle Public Works was notified.
