Lytle Police Report Dec. 9-15

Dec.9
9:50 AM – Officer responded to Two Sisters Floral Boutique for a report of criminal mischief that resulted in an attempted burglary of the business. Both locks to the front door were damaged to the point where they could not be unlocked.
12:28 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run.
10:14 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 131 to assist DPS with a pursuit.
Dec. 10
12:10 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 N at FM 2790 E for a welfare check on a male truck driver who was pacing back and forth behind his trailer. All was okay; the driver stated he was on the phone talking to his supervisor.
12:22 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of a suspicious female. All was okay; she was taking a smoke break and didn’t want to smoke in her room.
8:05 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of an unknown male suspect who stole a 2017 Nissan Versa. The vehicle was left unlocked and running in front of the store. Suspect was identified, warrants pending.
9:14 AM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. at Main St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:18 AM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a welfare check on an elderly female that was driving. Officers made contact with the female, all was okay.
11:02 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
11:14 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Cottage St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
11:40 PM – While on patrol at Dollar General officer observed a section of Christmas lights off. City hall was advised to check for connection.
Dec. 11
6:46 AM – Officer responded to Live Oak St. at N. Benton St. for a report of a yield sign that has been tagged. The sign was painted red to cover the yield.
12:57 PM – Traffic stop at IH 35 Access Rd. at FM 3175 resulted in the removal of an MVR sticker belonging to another vehicle.
4:00 PM – Officer responded to Patriot Gas and talked to property owner who issued a verbal criminal trespass notice to two subjects.
7:50 PM – Officers responded to Burger King in reference to issuance of a criminal trespass warning. Officer issued a Criminal Trespass Notice to a subject who was not wanted at the property.
Dec. 12
9:45 AM – Officer responded to McDonald’s and talked to complainant in reference to her cell phone being taken from the drive-thru. It was discovered that the complainant had loaned her phone to a friend that left the premise without permission.
12:53 PM – Officer responded to FM 463 at Lake Shore Estates for a report of a “go cart” on the road. Officer checked the area, unable to locate anyone.
1:28 PM – Officers responded to 15400 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Residence appeared secure, there did appear to be a fresh track in the front yard leading to the front door.
2:30 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Mini Storage for a report of a burglary. The unit’s locks had been cut. Complainant stated two Weedeaters were taken with a total value of $710 for both.
4:00 PM – Officer responded to Little Caesars for a report of a two vehicle crash.
4:28 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Elementary School to unlock a vehicle.
Dec. 13
2:50 AM – While on patrol at Chevron officer observed a trailer tractor parked in the area behind the Chevron.
6:42 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Primary School to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a report of an odor of natural gas.
9:10 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a stolen vehicle. The caller stated she had information regarding the case.
10:15 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a welfare check on a resident.
1:06 PM – Officer responded to15200 Blk. of Adams St. to unlock a vehicle.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apartments to unlock a vehicle.
10:27 PM – Officer responded to the 90 Blk. of Las Palomas to assist Atascosa Co. with a 911 hang up call. All was okay.
Dec. 14
12:15 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
12:55 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at FM 2790 N for a report of a hit & run.
3:00 PM – While patrolling at the 18300 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. officer observed two juveniles running towards an open gate. The officer was keeping an eye on the two juveniles when he saw a German Shepherd dog run out into the road in front of the patrol vehicle. The dog was uninjured and walking/running fine. The officer assisted with placing the dog back within the fenced yard.
3:10 PM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apartments to unlock a vehicle.
7:50 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
9:30 PM – Officer responded to 300 Blk. of Naegelin Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Dec. 15
2:13 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 135 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:26 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of Blume Dr. for a report of suspicious activity in the area, extra patrol requested.
6:44 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger to unlock a vehicle.
11:28 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a theft of consumables that occurred on 12/14/19. While attempting to cite and release the suspect, the suspect resisted and pulled away from the officer. An 18-year-old male subject was arrested for Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport. He was cited for Theft < $100 and issued a Criminal Trespass Warning. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
2:00 PM – Officer conducted a traffic stop at Benton City Rd. and Short St.
2:17 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
3:35 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. for a follow up investigation.
5:39 PM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church for a report of a suspicious person. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:07 PM – Officer responded to Twin Lakes for a report of a fire. Officer discovered the location of the fire and advised the homeowner about the city ordinance banning burning in the city limits and to put out the fire. Homeowner complied without further incident.
9:23 PM – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old male subject for Possession of Controlled Substance PG2 1g-4g, 3rd Degree Felony. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:45 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. Officers arrived and observed the rear passenger window broken. Complainant stated a couple of blankets were taken and headphones.
