Lytle Police Report August 20-26


August 20
2:29 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a possible intoxicated male. Officer located and identified the subject. The subject was given to a Devine PD. On arrival, Devine PD advised he was a missing person that was not entered in the system. The male subject was returned to his residence.
5:30 AM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for a report of a gas leak. Officer arrived and contacted staff. There was not an odor of gas inside the building, nor was the building connected to natural gas.
7:51 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Elementary to unlock a vehicle.
10:39 AM – Officers responded to 19600 Blk. of S. Benton St. for a report of an unconscious man on the ground. Officers arrived and discovered a family member providing CPR. Subject was transported to the hospital by EMS.
1:12 PM – Officer responded to 18900 Blk. of Mason St. and talked to complainant in reference to an unknown person(s) that may be taking water from the outside tap without permission. Extra patrol requested.
2:50 PM – Officer responded to 19100 Blk. of N. Benton St. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with traffic control.
4:30 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
7:10 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park and provided a courtesy ride to a stranded resident.
9:14 PM – Officer responded to the back of the Coalmine Subdivision (just outside of city) to assist Medina Co. with a disturbance.
August 21
2:41 AM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a suspicious woman knocking on complainant’s door. Officer made contact with the suspect who was intoxicated. The suspect was released to her sister.
9:20 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of a customer that had rented a flatbed trailer and failed to return it.
9:20 AM – Officer responded to Valero for a report of a gas drive off. Total estimated loss $36.74. The suspect departed prior to officer’s arrival.
9:50 AM – Officer responded to Valero for a report of a counterfeit $20 bill passed by a customer.
10:01 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. and assisted animal control with a resident calling about neighbors barking dogs.
1:01 PM – Officer responded to Sonic Drive-In for a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman. Officer spoke with both parties.
3:54 PM – Officers responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 N for a report of a pick-up truck that drove off of IH 35 and landed on FM 3175. No injuries reported.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to Taco Bell for a report of a suspicious person. Complainant requested a trespass notice be given to 2 customers.
11:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a vehicle being struck be a shopping cart. No accident report was requested complainant just wanted officer to be aware.
August 22
12:55 AM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a talk to an officer in reference to a patient in need of an emergency detention. Officer made contact with the patient and deemed patient was not in immediate danger to himself and/or others.
2:12 AM – Officer responded to FM 2790 at Kinney Rd. to assist Bexar Co. with a suspect evading on foot.
6:50 AM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm.
6:59 AM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for an emergency detention. The individual was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
9:30 AM – Officer responded to Bruce St. and assisted Adult Protective Services with an elderly male.
10:20 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to complainant’s mother missing. The mother was a resident at Camino Real Crisis Center and was reported missing.
10:38 AM – Officer responded to City Hall for a report of an elderly man stating he was locked out of his house. Officer drove the man to his house and retrieved the key from him and opened the front door for him.
11:30 AM – While on patrol at 18900 Blk. of Pine St. officer observed a suspicious vehicle turn down the street. Officer located a suspect who pulled into a house and was getting out of his truck. Subject stated he had some left over asphalt from a job and he was patching driveways. Officer advised him he could not solicit without a permit, subject decided to leave.
12:01 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in reference to two vehicles illegally parked in the handicapped slots. Officer spoke with complainant who stated one vehicle left prior to officer’s arrival and the other vehicle’s driver placed a placard before officer arrived.
4:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a counterfeit $20 bill passed by a customer.
10:50 PM – Officer responded to N. Somerset St. at Laredo St. for a report of suspicious activity. Extra patrol requested.
August 23
8:15 AM – Subject was seen walking back and forth outside the Police Station. Officer made contact with subject and provided a courtesy ride home.
10:16 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and filed a missing person’s report.
1:30 PM – Subject walked up to the Police Station requesting water, subject is set to be evaluated by APS on Monday. APS was advised about the subject stating he had a small child with him but there was no one with him. APS was also advised about the safety of the subject walking out, subject was given a ride home.
2:08 PM – Officer responded to City Hall for a report of a subject pending APS evaluation getting into a vehicle. Officer contacted subject who had found a spare key to his vehicle. Officer provided subject a courtesy ride home.
4:20 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of a subject harassing patrons. Upon arrival, subject had departed.
4:38 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported an online scam. Total estimated loss $6,000.
10:17 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. and talked to officer in reference to an unruly juvenile.
August 24
2:00 AM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a complainant’s son who suffers from mental issues banging on her door to get inside the residence. Complainant advised the suspect left prior to officer’s arrival.
2:10 AM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a talk to an officer. Complainant feared her vehicle was going to be tampered with by complainant’s ex. Extra patrol requested.
8:42 AM – Officers responded to 19600 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a gas leak. The smell turned out to be a skunk.
10:18 AM – Officer responded to Hoffman Rd. at FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. with an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was broken down.
12:48 AM – Officers responded to S. Somerset St. at Mesquite St. for a welfare check on an elderly male. Officers were unable to locate.
2:32 PM – Officer responded to Cricket Wireless for a welfare check on a child left inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, the child had been removed from the vehicle. Officer counseled guardian on leaving the child unattended in a vehicle.
5:23 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Bank St. for a welfare check on a pedestrian, possible motor vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic collision. Officer arrived and found a male subject who had fallen off his bicycle.
August 25
5:30 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. for a welfare check on a male subject burning books. Officer made contact with the male who stated he was burning a book that he didn’t want.
8:15 AM – Officer responded to N. Somerset St. at Live Oak St. for a report of a stray dog knocking over trashcans. Lytle Animal Control Officer was advised of the stray dog.
8:20 AM – Officers attended a First Responders Breakfast provided by Atascosa Lodge #379.
9:40 AM – Officers responded to 14800 Blk. of Main St. and provided funeral escort.
10:20 AM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a talk to an officer in reference to complainant’s dog going over the neighbor’s yard and was killed by the neighbor’s dog. The complainant was unsure how her dog got into the neighbor’s property.
11:30 AM – Officer responded to Valero for a report of a male customer who had just exited the building and was drinking a beer on premises. Officer could not locate the subject. A short time later, Officer drove past the Valero and observed the male subject seated on the ground at the Valero. Officer made contact with the subject and advised him that he could be cited for drinking an alcoholic beverage on the premises. The male subject stated he was waiting to be picked up and that he would comply with the law.
11:30 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 131 for a report of debris that fell off a truck/trailer and hit the front of complainant’s vehicle.
12:48 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious white van with a trailer. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
2:54 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a counterfeit $100 bill.
5:10 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a legally parked unattended vehicle that was struck by a Gray Ford F150 that left the scene without notifying the owner. The suspect vehicle also struck the privacy fence as he drove away.
8:38 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of an intoxicated male who was earlier involved in a hit & run, returning and causing a disturbance. The male fled in a silver Silverado truck with temp tags prior to officer’s arrival.
9:00 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a welfare check on an elderly female. Officer made contact by phone with the female who stated she had fallen and needed assistance in standing up. Officer explained that all her doors and windows were locked and would have to force his way into her house. The female declined officer’s help and stated she would call her son and wait for him to arrive with the spare key.
August 26
4:18 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of loud music coming from one of the guest’s room. Officer arrived and discovered that the music had been turned off. All was quiet.
12:00 PM – Officer met with complainant at the Police Station, complainant provided info on an ongoing case.
12:40 PM – Officer responded to Railroad St. at N. Somerset St. to unlock a vehicle.
2:50 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a report of juveniles throwing rocks. Officer spoke with juveniles and they denied throwing rocks.
5:15 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
11:08 PM – Officer responded to Gypsy Jules Boutique for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
