Lytle Police Report August 10-16

August 10
2:20 AM – Officer responded to the 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. Dispatch advised the female caller was verbally abusive and they were unable to get a good location.
4:38 AM – While conducting a building check at Mc Storage officer found a door ajar. Officer closed the door and found no signs of criminal activity.
5:55 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Cottage St. for a report of a tree that fell and ripped the service lines from two homes. CPS Energy arrived and removed the power line from the roadway.
8:15 AM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of five bags of trash on the side of the roadway. The trash was inventoried and a name and address were found from Gidley Rd. Officers conducted a follow-up investigation.
8:48 AM – Officer responded to H&S Cream Pop for a report of a theft of a DirecTV satellite dish.
10:30 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a follow up on a theft case.
10:40 AM – Officer responded to Express Rent to Own for a report of activated hold up alarm. Upon arrival, officer met with the manager who stated ADT was working on the alarm system.
5:55 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. with a BOLO on an older model white Ford F-150 that ran a vehicle off the road. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:53 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at FM 2790 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:53 PM – Officers responded to 14400 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a disturbance alongside the roadway. Upon arrival, officers determined no offense had occurred, the vehicle had overheated and the disagreement was over the male buying a “lemon” of a vehicle.
August 11
3:32 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of an alarm.
7:26 AM – Officer responded to Cottage St. for a report of a loud explosion. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:10 AM – Officer responded to the 19300 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a report of a roadway sign knocked down. TXDOT was contacted and advised of the damage.
8:20 AM – Officer responded to John’s Small Engine Works and talked to complainant in reference to suspicious activity occurring on 8/8/20 and 8/9/20.
10:32 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a death.
12:04 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Norvell St. for a report of phone harassment.
1:55 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home and talked to complainant in reference to his Medicaid money.
3:27 PM – Officer responded to John’s Small Engine Works for a report of someone hacking the complainant’s phone.
4:05 PM – Officer returned property to rightful owner.
7:52 PM – Officer responded to the Vape House for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
8:38 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of Oak St. and talked to complainant in reference to extra patrol due to suspicious people seen in the area at night.
9:54 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 N Access Rd. for a welfare check on a female pushing a baby stroller. The female advised she was involved in a verbal/domestic dispute and a family member picked her up.
11:55 PM – Officer responded to 400 Blk. of Naegelin Rd. and assisted Atascosa Co. with a domestic disturbance.
August 12
12:05 AM – Officer responded to 900 Blk. of Wildflower to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a report of a suspicious vehicle. Further investigation revealed it to be the homeowner’s vehicle.
12:55 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Houston St. for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, officer was cancelled.
1:08 AM – Officer responded to 1700 Blk. of Naegelin Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a report of a trespasser at the residence.
5:15 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of an alarm.
9:40 AM – Officer responded to Tots to Teens to unlock a vehicle.
11:52 AM – Officer responded to Tots to Teens for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
1:55 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
5:18 PM – Officer responded to Little Caesar’s for a welfare check on a dog in a vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:06 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
August 13
4:52 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of an alarm.
5:07 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of a civil matter.
8:49 AM – Officer responded to US Post Office for a report of a one vehicle crash.
4:08 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a dog inside a vehicle. Officer located the vehicle, all was fine.
5:22 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 131 NB for a report of a two vehicle crash.
6:24 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB at Mile Marker 132 for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:08 PM – Traffic accident at IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 resulted in the discovery of an Active Warrant out of Bexar Co. A 25-year-old male subject was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
9:16 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a report of a theft of a window A/C unit. Total estimated loss, $150. The AC unit was sitting on the porch.
10:13 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus to unlock a vehicle.
August 14
12:01 AM – Officer responded to CR 6710 at Lake View Dr. for a report of a couple riding on an ATV on CR 6710 slowing down and checking out houses. Officer made contact with the couple who were just out for a ride.
12:49 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 S Frontage Rd. at Lytle-Somerset St. and talked to complainant in reference to his pet Husky that had run off and he was looking for her.
1:49 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of Blume Dr. to assist Atascosa EMS with a 50 YOA male who passed out and struck his head. (He appeared much younger)
10:47 AM – Officers responded to CR 6710 to FM 2790 and assisted with funeral escort.
2:06 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
3:54 PM – Officer responded to 15800 Blk. of White Cap Dr. to unlock a vehicle.
3:59 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Apartments to unlock a vehicle.
7:12 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB (construction area) for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
August 15
4:07 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
9:38 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a welfare check on a homeowner who was stuck on the roof of her home. Officer assisted the homeowner off the roof.
10:30 AM – Officers responded to the Oak Creek Homes to assist ACSO with an intoxicated male.
1:21 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 Access Rd at FM 2790 for debris in the roadway.
7:14 PM – Officers responded to the Yumm #10 for a Criminal Mischief. Unknown female ripped the credit card terminal from the cash register.
8:15 PM – Officer responded to the 500 Blk. of Meadow View Dr. to assist ACSO with a vehicle unlock.
9:16 PM – Officer responded to the Dollar General for a shoplifting report. Unknown male stole food valued at $45.
10:00 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at FM 2790 to see if there was a fire in the area. SAPD had reports of a possible fire in the area causing a traffic hazard. Officer was unable to locate.
10:28 PM – Officer responded to the 19600 Blk. Bruce St. for loud music.
10:55 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for a report of threats. After speaking with the victim it was determined there were no threats made.
August 16
5:57 AM – Officer responded to the Burger King for an alarm.
10:09 AM – Officer responded to the 14800 Blk. Adams St. for an alarm.
3:40 PM – Officers responded to the HEB Plus for a report of 12 bags of deer corn ($95.64) that were stolen. Officers were able to identify the suspects who returned and paid for the items. Officers issued criminal trespass notices to the suspects involved.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to the HEB C-Store to check the welfare of a person in a vehicle.
7:34 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. Officer spoke with all employees who stated no one initiated the call.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to Community National Bank and assisted Atascosa Co. with a traffic stop.
11:30 PM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a welfare check on a female asleep in her vehicle. Officer spoke with the female who stated she was traveling and was just taking a rest break.
