Devine Police Report August 7-13

August 7
4:50 PM – A traffic stop was made on a vehicle in the 700 block of N. Transportation Dr. A searched yielded drug paraphernalia, and the male driver was cited and released.
August 9
7:46 AM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Hwy. 132 N. in reference to a female subject who appeared intoxicated and was walking in the roadway. The subject was transported to Southwest General Hospital for an emergency detention.
10:56 AM – Officer assisted with recovering a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of CR 779.
4:12 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to 18-wheelers parked in the parking lot; unable to locate.
4:24 PM – A male subject and a female subject were cited and released for theft of less than $100 from Walmart.
9:35 PM – Complainant reported a brown van driving recklessly on IH-35 NB near the City limits; unable to locate.
August 10
2:13 AM – Two 14-year-old male subjects were located riding scooters in the 400 block of Wedgewood Way. The subjects were staying with a friend on Ingram Rd. Officer followed the subjects back to the residence.
10:30 PM – A male subject in the 300 block of Webb Ave. injured his grandfather by throwing a small bicycle and hitting him in the chest during a disagreement. The subject was also in possession of drug paraphernalia and was jailed.
August 11
12:35 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of Judson reported a suspicious vehicle with Iowa plates parked near residence. All was okay; the vehicle belongs to the son of another resident in the 400 block of Judson and is being repaired.
August 12
2:52 PM – Officer noticed a male subject removing items from self storage in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. The subject was advised by the owner of the facility to remove his belongings due to being three months behind on rent.
3:04 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Jack Nicklaus reported a suspicious black Chrysler 300 with a female passenger. Attempted to take a cooler from the complainant’s yard and was driving around the neighborhood. Unable to locate.
5:18 PM – Officers dispatched for a physical disturbance between a girlfriend and boyfriend in the 700 block of Tuttle Dr. Parties separated. Assisted by MCSO.
10:05 PM – Report of a female who appeared disoriented at Walmart.
11:20 PM – A female subject in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. made multiple calls to 911 and was harassing the 911 operator. The subject was jailed.
August 13
12:05 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of Mockingbird Ln. reported a black Mercedes parked in front of her residence for quite some time before moving to Azalea. All was okay; a female subject was using her phone.
7:29 PM – Complainant reported an open side window at a vacant house in the 300 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. Officers cleared the house; all appeared okay.
8:28 PM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave. in reference to a possible large verbal disturbance. Parties separated prior to officers’ arrival.
