Lytle Police Report Aug. 5-11

Aug. 5
4:00 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger to unlock a vehicle.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a possible theft of a motor vehicle. Appears to be a civil matter involving a repossession.
9:36 PM – While on patrol, officer noticed two vehicles parked behind the Lytle Mini Storage Officer spoke to the occupants who stated they were waiting for a third person to arrive with a key so they could retrieve some belonging. The third person arrived and it was confirmed he had a key to the storage unit.
11:50 PM – Field contact at 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. with a suspicious male who appeared to be tampering with the ignition switch of a parked vehicle resulted in the arrest of Alberto Hernandez for having an Active Protective Order out of Medina Co. The protected person was present.
Aug. 6
2:05 AM – Officer responded to N. Somerset St. at Adams for a report of a male asleep on the side of the road. Officer arrived and identified the male subject. All was okay.
9:00 AM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. at Laredo St. and assisted the public with a courtesy ride to Lytle City Hall.
10:40 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Mini Storage for a report of 5 full size swords that were missing from complainant’s storage. The locks were cut off of several units on August 2, 2019. Complainant’s unit was one of those whose lock had been cut.
4:35 PM – Officer made contact with a passing motorist on IH 35 N Access Rd. at FM 3175 who had questions in regards to laws pertaining to the operation of ATV vehicles.
7:52 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a physical disturbance. The male party left prior to officer’s arrival. A written statement and photographs of the female victim were taken.
Aug. 7
11:35 AM – Officers responded to Days Inn in reference to found property. Upon arrival, officers met with the clerk who stated the maid found a broken pellet rifle after the tenant checked out of the room. Property was taken to Lytle PD and placed into the evidence locker.
12:30 PM – Officers responded to CR 6842 for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers patrolled the city limits in Twin Lakes but were unable to locate the vehicle.

1:39 PM – Officers responded to 18400 Blk. of IH 35 Access Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a male subject. Upon arrival, it was discovered the male was dropped off by Bexar Co. at the county line and requested a ride home.
2:25 PM – Officers responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. for a report of an assault in progress. A 37-year0ld male subject was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury and transported to Medina Co. Jail.
2:45 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of a two vehicle crash. Upon arrival, both parties had exchanged information, no crash report was filed.
6:30 PM – Officers responded to 18200 Blk. of Houston St. for a report of a civil matter between a renter and landlord.
7:05 PM – Officer responded to Cricket Wireless for a report of a welfare check on a male asleep in a vehicle. Officer made contact with the male, all was fine.
7:05 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at N. Prairie St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:21 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of Dawson St. to unlock a vehicle.
7:53 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park and talked to complainant in reference to bees in a tree.
9:50 PM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of Main St. in reference to two stranded individuals. Upon arrival, the individuals were able to get a ride.
9:54 PM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of S. Benton St. for a report of a tree partially on the road causing a traffic hazard.
Aug. 8
12:35 AM – Traffic stop at Railroad St. and N. Benton St. resulted in the impound of a vehicle and citations to the driver. The vehicle has been stopped several times and warned about operating with an Expired MVR, No Insurance and No Driver’s License.
2:16 AM – Officers responded to Exxon and made contact with a vehicle stopped at a close business. A 16 YO male was with a 21 YO female and both stated they were waiting for a friend to bring them gas. The parents were contacted and picked up the 16 YO and the vehicle. The 21 YO female was left stranded with no way to get back to San Antonio. A friend agreed to pick up the female and she was given a courtesy ride to Loop 410.
8:19 PM – Officer responded to Luckey Rd. at FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. with a male assaulting a female. Officer arrived, no assault occurred all was verbal.
11:00 PM – Officers responded to 15400 Blk. of Main St. for a welfare check on a life alert alarm. Officer made contact with an elderly female who stated all was okay.
11:29 PM – Officers responded to US Renal Care for a report of an alarm.
Aug. 9
6:00 AM – While on patrol at 19400 Blk. of McDonald St. officer noticed an individual walking on the side of the road. Officer made contact with individual and identified him. A 20-year-old male subject was arrested for Evading Detention and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 > 4g < 200g. Subject was also wanted out of Medina Co. for Original Charge of Burglary of Habitation. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:15 AM – Officers responded to 18200 Blk. of Tippen Rd. for a report that a prowler was possibly around complainant’s residence on the prior night. Cpl. Robison followed up later in the evening, once possible witnesses were home.
11:45 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a male customer acting suspiciously. Upon arrival, officers watched the customer for a few minutes, all was okay.
3:50 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus and talked to a motorist in regards to a suspicious male and female inside a vehicle parked at the HEB Plus. The complainant reported it appeared the two occupants were involved in a drug transaction. Upon arrival, officers observed the occupants all appeared okay.
4:00 PM – While investigating the previous call at HEB Plus officers observed a basked travelling a high rate of speed strike a black & tan Ford F-150. The basket strike resulted in a dent on the left rear door. The driver made the scene and was advised of the damage. Officer was advised from an HEB Customer that another shopping basket had struck another vehicle, a white Ram 1500 had also received a small dent on the left rear bumper.
5:15 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter.
5:25 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a 911 caller stating he was allegedly threatened by another customer. The caller hung up and would not answer dispatch for any additional information. Officers walked the entire store and were unable to locate anyone in distress.
6:44 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a reported unknown fire. Upon arrival, it was discovered the fire was in a landscaped area near the roadway. It appeared a cigarette was thrown into the mulch catching in on fire. Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. arrived and extinguished the smoldering mulch.
Aug. 10
2:24 AM – While patrolling 15900 Blk. of Lake Shore Dr. officers made contact with a vehicle parked with its lights on. The driver was on the phone inside the vehicle and belonged at the residence.
7:50 AM – Officer responded to StarCross Trail for a report of a vehicle parked alongside the street occupied by a young female. The caller/resident confronted the female driver and she drove off. The unknown caller did not want to be contacted.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. to unlock a vehicle.
2:20 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a customer who purchased an alcoholic beverage and took a drink with a child inside the vehicle.
3:30 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a suspicious phone call received by complainant. The caller was persistent and asked the complainant questions in regards to his identity and accused him of being involved in criminal activity. The call was terminated by the complainant.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to Lytle High School for a report of a fire alarm. Officer arrived, all was okay.
6:46 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a suspicious person. Officer made contact with a male individual who just wanted to talk about a situation. No offense occurred.
7:20 PM – Officers responded to 14600 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an unruly juvenile that had gotten into an argument with his parents. The juvenile exited the vehicle and was running close to traffic. Upon arrival, officer attempted to detain the juvenile and he resisted officer’s verbal commands and attempted to walk away from officer. The juvenile was physically detained/handcuffed and later released to his parents.
9:55 PM – Officers observed a Nissan Maxima at the Chevron with a missing rear window. Officers ran the vehicle plates and came back with an expired registration. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver fled in the vehicle and crashed at the intersection of Wisdom Rd. and Lake St. He then fled on foot and was not located. The vehicle was towed and a suspect has been identified.
Aug. 11
12:03 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of S. Somerset St. for a report of a hospice death.
2:52 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store and talked to complainant in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, it was discovered an 89 YO female was leaving the stall in the bathroom and a young female pushed the door open injuring the elderly female. She received a small bump on the top of her head and bruises on her right forearm.
3:15 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to an accident that allegedly occurred on 8/10/19.
5:35 PM – Officer received a call from complainant in reference to vehicle leaving complainant’s property and throwing trash out. Complainant asked that officer identify the driver and requested that the trash be removed from his property.
6:02 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of two people smoking marijuana at the baseball field. Officer arrived and walked the area, unable to locate the individuals.
6:30 PM – Officers received a phone call from complainant in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
7:40 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officers in reference to a missing person.
9:17 PM – Officers responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. for a report of a verbal disturbance between a mother and daughter.
11:06 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of an alarm.
11:14 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
11:20 PM – Officers responded to Days Inn for a report of a credit card fraud. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a male subject had used his ex-girlfriend’s credit card to reserve a room online. The owner of the credit card contacted the Days Inn and informed them she saw the unauthorized charge to her credit card.
