Lytle Police Report April 22-28

April 22
11:30 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to escort a male individual off the property since he has caused issues in the past. Suspect was identified and escorted off the property.
April 23
3:20 AM – While conducting a foot patrol at John Lott Park, officer located a subject hiding behind a tree. Subject was identified and interviewed, no signs of criminal activity.
12:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to assist Atascosa EMS with a female patient who fell and suffered a laceration to her head.
6:00 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 n at CR 681 for a report of a 3 vehicle crash.
7:04 PM – Officer responded to Lytle High School Baseball Field to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with an electrical pole on fire. Upon arrival, the fire was out and the power was secured.
April 24
1:33 AM – While on patrol at 15400 Blk. of Main St. officer located a male walking who appeared to be intoxicated. Contact and investigation determined the subject was having withdrawals, officer provided a courtesy ride to his mother’s house in Devine.
8:50 AM – While at Star Food Mart a clerk handed the officer a $20 bill that was counterfeit. It is unknown who passed it.
4:25 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. and talked to officer in reference to a dispute between neighbors regarding one neighbor allegedly recording the other with a cell phone. No offense occurred.
10:50 PM – While patrolling, officer was waived down by a civilian claiming there were people fighting at the Pumphouse Carwash.
April 25
9:53 AM – Officers responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 S for a report of an 18 wheeler vs. guardrail. No injuries or vehicle damage reported.
3:06 PM – A 50 YO male subject was cited for Theft on an incident that occurred on 3/28/19 at HEB Plus.
4:09 PM – Loss Prevention from HEB Plus reported a theft that occurred on 4/23/19. Complainant advised he witnessed a suspect conceal multiple items in her purse and leave without paying for them. Case under investigation.
5:45 PM – Officer responded to Main St. for a report of a dead cat near Naomi’s Café. Lytle Animal Control was notified.
6:30 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an unruly customer. Suspect agreed to not bother the clerk and left the scene.
7:30 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to an unknown vehicle that had struck her vehicle and the driver failed to leave a notice on her vehicle. Location of incident is unknown.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to 16000 Blk. of Lake Shore Dr. for a report of a male subject trespassing the lakes. Officer made contact with a 16 YO male who stated he had permission from a relative to be there.
9:34 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a possible power line arcing. Upon arrival, it was determined that the electrical problem was at the breaker box on the landlord/renter side.
11:28 PM – Officers responded to Days Inn for a report of a suspicious male individual. Officers arrived and made contact with the male who was a guest there.
11:48 PM – Officers responded to Hacienda Jalisciense for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
April 26
1:00 AM – Officers responded to Whataburger for a report of a female asleep at the wheel. A 26 YO female subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
1:35 AM – Officer responded to Brown’s Gun & Tackle for a report of an alarm. Officer found the business to be secure.
8:08 AM – Traffic stop at 19000 Blk. of Laredo St. resulted in the impound of a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. The driver operated the vehicle with expired registration and no insurance. Driver also had a suspended license.
8:46 AM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store to assist Atascosa EMS with a male patient who fell and hurt himself.
8:51 AM – Officers responded to US Renal Care to assist Atascosa EMS with a female patient who was having chest pain.
9:20 AM – Officers responded to Lytle True Value and talked to complainant in reference to a fake check that was used at location.
12:23 PM – Officers responded to Hwy. 132 at Atascosa River for a welfare check on a motorist pulled off on the shoulder. The driver advised he blew a tire and had help on the way.
12:44 PM – Officers responded to Days Inn for a report of a civil matter. Complainant attempted to get a phone back that was purchased for his significant other. Complainant was issued a criminal trespass warning and released.
3:28 PM – Officers responded to 14600 Blk. of FM 2790 and talked to complainant in reference to a vehicle that was damaged. Complainant advised that sometime within the last couple of months, his black Ford F-250 was damaged. He did not want to file a report, just wanted the Police Department to be aware it happened.
5:25 PM – Officers responded to John Lott Park and talked to complainant in reference to juveniles smoking marijuana. Officers arrived and were able to speak with three male juveniles. Complainant then stated she did not see them smoking, but the restrooms had an odor of marijuana. Officers entered the restrooms and were not able to identify the odor. The juveniles were released.
11:38 PM – Officers responded to the Police Station for a report of a 911 hang up call originating from the Police Station. Officer checked the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. Possible phone line malfunction.
April 27
3:28 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The driver admitted drinking a single beer and was administered the SFST. The driver passes the SFST and was released.
3:41 PM – Officers responded to Luckey Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a disturbance.
5:37 PM – Officers responded to Lytle High School to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a report of a fire alarm. It was determined that a belt on an A/C unit slipped causing smoke to be produced into a hallway thus setting off the alarm.
9:20 PM – While on patrol, officer noticed a man with a backpack standing next to the Yumm Store. Officer spoke with the male subject who stated he was waiting for a ride after having walked away from his girlfriend’s house after getting into a verbal altercation.
9:53 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a report of loud music. Officer spoke with the resident who agreed to turn down the volume.
April 28
3:20 AM – Traffic stop at Lytle Somerset St. and Bruce St. resulted in the arrest of a 33 YO subject for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
9:25 AM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Car Wash for a report of an attempted burglary of a Coin Op Machine. Unknown person attempted to pry open a vacuum machine, but was unsuccessful with gaining entry into the machine.
2:31 PM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apts. for a report of an unknown suspect(s) who slashed a single tire on complainant’s vehicle.
4:51 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of N Prairie St. and talked to complainant in reference of a stolen vehicle. Officer advised to contact Medina Co. Sheriff Office due to jurisdiction.
8:31 PM –Officer responded to Main St. at Cortez Rd. for a report of a suspicious male walking in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:31 PM – Report of a disturbance between a male and female on the side of the road at 14800 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 19 YO female for Assault Bodily Injury – Family Violence. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:20 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and requested extra patrols for the night on Bruce St. fearing her ex-boyfriend may attempt to damage her property.
