Lytle Police Report April 17-23


Monday, April 17
3:46 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 for a report of a reckless driver.
7:15 AM – Officer responded to Blume Dr. at FM 2790 N to assist a motorist with a flat tire.
9:40 AM – Traffic stop in the 15000 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Gregg Co. for Unlawfully Carrying Weapon. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail 11:35 AM – Officers responded to 15200 Blk. of Park Place for a report of a strange man in complainant’s residence. Officers located the man sitting in resident’s car in the closed garage using the resident’s phone to call 911. The man was a walk off from Camino Real Crisis Center. Complainant did not wish to file criminal charges. Emergency detention was performed and subject was transported to the Nix Behavioral Health Center.
12:13 PM – Complainant reported a newer black Chevy pick-up attempting to dump a whole bed full of stuff in white bags in the dumpster. Officer patrolled various areas and was unable to locate the vehicle.
2:15 PM – Officer responded to Valero (14600 Blk. of Main St.) for a report of an unruly customer.
6:14 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB Frontage for a report of a reckless driver. Officer was advised that the call was transferred to Medina Co. Officer was unable to locate vehicle.
6:17 PM – Officer responded to 15900 Blk. of Martin St. to assist EMS.
6:37 PM – Officer responded to Chevron (15200 Blk. of Main St.) for a report of a theft of fuel. Complainant stated the owner of store has video surveillance and it will be viewed.
11:15 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 133 to assist Atascosa Co. with a traffic stop.
11:45 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 at IH 35 to assist a motorist whose vehicle had died at stop sign. Vehicle was removed from roadway and the driver was given a courtesy ride home.
Tuesday, April 18
2:28 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home (15300 Blk. of Oak St.) for a report of a natural death an an 86-year-old male.
5:35 AM – Officer responded to Valero (14600 Blk. of Main St.) for a talk to an officer in reference to the complainant’s boyfriend.
9:55 AM – Officers responded to D’Hanis St. at Adams St. for a report of a female that was detained by an off-duty Lytle Officer. The female was running behind homes. Female claimed she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend and was running away from him. The boyfriend was located and interviewed.
12:05 PM – Officer red tagged an abandoned vehicle on IH 35 N at Mile Marker 132.
6:10 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus (19300 Blk. of McDonald St.) for a talk to an officer in reference to a subject complainant thought was going to shoplift. Subject ended up paying for items.
Wednesday, April 19
2:15 AM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Diaz St. and talked to complainant in regards to seeing shadows moving around the outside of residence. Complainant also reported she felt someone under her bed. Officer checked areas of concern and found no evidence of criminal activity.
9:10 AM – Officers assisted Devine PD with locating a missing person last seen heading towards Lytle. Person had been arrested by Bexar Co. SO before getting home and was in the Bexar Co. Jail.
9:57 AM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Diaz St. for a report of a water meter that had the lock cut off and reinstalled backwards.
10:13 AM – Officer responded to Express Rent to Own (14900 Blk. of Main St.) for a report of a burglary of vehicle. An unknown person(s) entered an unlocked store delivery truck. About $200 worth of items were stolen. 12:13 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Railroad St. for a report of two males walking in the area possibly intoxicated. Officer located the subjects, all was fine.
4:57 PM – Officer responded to VPS Insurance (15000 Blk. of Main St.) for a report of a disturbance.
10:44 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Offices (19900 Blk. of Benton City Rd.) for an alarm. All doors and windows were secure, no sign of criminal activity found.
Thursday, April 20
10:45 AM – Officers provided funeral escort from St. Andrew’s Church (14800 Blk. of Main St.) to the Coalmine Cemetery.
11:40 AM – Officer responded to Railroad St. @ N. Somerset St. to unlock a vehicle.
7:38 PM – Officers responded to McDonald’s (14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St.) for an outraged woman. Officers responded and the woman had already left the area.
9:30 PM – Officers responded to Railhead Café (15100 Blk. of Main St.) for a talk to officer in reference to possible harassment. Complaint wanted ex-boyfriend to not contact her anymore.
Friday, April 21
3:15 AM – Field stop to investigate a parked suspicious vehicle at N. Pecan near Adams St. resulted in the driver fleeing on foot and the passenger being arrested. An 18-year-old male was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 and Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility. The driver has been identified and charges are pending.
3:50 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Norvell St. for a welfare check on an elderly female who was standing in the front yard. All was fine.
4:10 AM – Officer responded to Quicksilver Automotive (14400 Blk. of Main St.) for an alarm. Officer was cancelled prior to arrival.
7:14 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store (19500 Blk. of McDonald St.) to unlock a vehicle.
10:30 AM – Property found at McDonald’s (14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St.) was turned in to the Police Station for safekeeping.
10:40 AM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a civil matter.
1:15 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Jr. High School (18900 Blk. of FM 2790 N) to assist Medina Co. SRO Deputy with an unruly student.
5:47 PM – Officer responded to 18700 Blk. of N. Benton St. for a talk to an officer in reference to a male juvenile walking to complainant’s house wanting to fight her son. Officer talked to both juveniles and stood by while both juveniles talked to each other.
7:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus (19300 Blk. of McDonald St.) for a report of a verbal disturbance between a male and a female.
8:43 PM – Officer responded to 15500 Blk. of Main St. to unlock a vehicle.
10:40 PM – Officers responded to Lytle High School (18900 Blk. of FM 2790 N) for a report of suspicious activity. Officers arrived and made contact with the baseball team who was unloading equipment and getting ready to leave. 11:13 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 132 and impounded a vehicle that had been red tagged on 4/18/17.
Saturday, April 22
9:54 AM – Officers responded to Hurley’s Funeral Home (14800 Blk. of Main St.) for an alarm.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ (19700 Blk. of IH 35 S) for a report of a minor accident.
9:25 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real (19900 Blk. of Benton City Rd.) for an alarm.
11:00 PM – Traffic stop at IH 35 NB and Lytle State Bank resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old male driver for Possession of Marijuana < 2 oz. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
Sunday, April 23
2:03 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Coalmine for a report of a black vehicle driving recklessly. Officer located vehicle and spoke with the driver who stated that it was the other vehicle driving reckless.
2:26 PM – Officer responded to Cabinet Creations (14400 Blk. of Main St.) for a report of a dispute between complainant and his girlfriend. Complainant wanted the Police to be aware of the situation. Subjects were in different vehicles and departed.
3:40 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home (15300 Blk. of Oak St.) for a report of a fire alarm. Fire alarm was activated by a resident by accident.
6:40 PM – Officers responded to 15400 Blk. of Houston St. for a report of an unruly 15 YO juvenile.
7:00 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home (15300 Blk. of Oak St.) for a report of a natural death, of a 104-year-old male.
8:50 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ (19700 Blk. of IH 35 S) for a talk to an officer in reference to an unruly 12 YO juvenile.
