Lytle Police Report April 29-May 5

April 29
12:18 AM –Officer responded 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a woman being assaulted resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old male subject for Assault Bodily Injury – Family Violence. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. and conducted a welfare check on a resident. Officer made contact with resident, all was okay.
April 30
3:16 AM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of Gray St. for a report of a 911 hang up call. Officer arrived and made contact with individuals. It was discovered a male subject accidentally dialed the emergency number from his pocket. Officer left without further incident.
6:58 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 133 Bridge for a report of a one vehicle crash.
7:50 PM – Officers responded to 14600 Blk. of FM 2790 for a report of a snake at property. Officers arrived and relocated the snake to a farm area.
9:01 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
10:28 PM – Officers responded to 4700 Blk. of FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. with suspicious persons with flashlights at residence.
10:58 PM – Officers responded to the 14900 Blk. of Main St. to assist Medina Co. with a stolen vehicle.
11:41 PM – Officer made contact with a female walking at 18900 Blk. of Mason St. The female was identified, all was okay.
May 1
7:11 AM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at Hoffman Rd. to assist Texas DPS Highway Patrol with a vehicle crash. Officer stood until the trooper arrived.
11:06 AM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ and talked to complainant in reference to being struck from behind while at the drive-thru by an unknown person. Complainant was driving his city vehicle at the time. The other vehicle left the scene. There was no damage to the city vehicle.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:00 PM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to her 14 YO son missing. It was discovered that her son had left the house without her permission and gone to his non-custodial step-father’s son in Twin Lakes.
8:45 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of S Prairie St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a female patient who had cut herself on a broken glass. Patient was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
May 2
2:55 AM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of an activated Alarm. All doors and windows were secure.
6:31 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to assist motorist with a jump start.
7:50 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of Benton St. to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a call for smoke coming from a house. It was determined to be a faulty breaker box. CPS Energy was notified.
8:31 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of 2 theft suspects being detained. A 30-year-old female subject and a 28-year-old female subject were both arrested for Theft < $100. Both suspects were cited and released with a Criminal Trespass Warning.
May 3
1:01 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Gate St. for a report of a disturbance involving an intoxicated man who was possibly suicidal. Officer arrived and spoke with a male subject who denied having any thoughts about hurting himself. A relative arrived and took the man to his house for the night.
7:55 AM – Traffic stop at the 15000 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old male subject for Possession of Marijuana < 2 oz. and Possession of Controlled Substance PG2 < 1 oz. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
9:38 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
4:05 PM – Officer responded to Beall’s for a report of a complainant who lost her watch and bracelet somewhere inside the store. No items were located.
4:55 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a runaway juvenile. Officer made contact with the complainant who stated the foster mother had picked up the juvenile and no longer needed to file a report.
5:59 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and made a report regarding a lost checkbook. Complainant has since closed his account but the bank wanted him to file a police report in case any checks were used.
9:10 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a broken urinal at the men’s restroom.
May 4
8:56 AM – While on patrol at 19000 Blk. of Gray St. officer located a 27-year-old male who was arrested for having a Warrant out of Medina Co. for Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
10:35 AM – Officer responded to the 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a broken down vehicle on the bridge across from Days Inn. It was discovered the vehicle had run out of gas and the driver had gas on the way.
1:19 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
1:30 PM – Officers responded to John Lott Park for a report of a male subject with a shotgun. Upon arrival, it was discovered a male and female were using a metal detector that the caller had misjudged for a weapon.
1:55 PM – Officer received a call in reference to a wrong delivery at the post officer. Complainant stated he gave the wrong PO Box number and now the item bought was delivered at to the wrong person. Officer advised to contact the post office on Monday.
7:53 PM – Officers responded to 14500 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a vehicle dumping a dog on the side of the road. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
8:16 PM – Officer responded to Twin Liquors to unlock a vehicle.
10:45 PM – Officers responded to 19800 Blk. of Creek St. for a report of suspicious vehicles along the fence line. The vehicles belonged to the neighbor.
11:40 PM – Officer responded to Lake Shore Dr. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
May 5
12:45 AM – Officers responded to FM 2790 at Main St. for a report of a box car that was disconnected from a train in the middle of town. Officers assisted Union Pacific RR with traffic.
9:46 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
7:07 PM – Traffic stop at the 15000 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Bexar Co. for Assault Bodily Injury – Family Violence. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
8:25 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Hester St. for a report of a suspicious person walking around. Officer arrived and made contact with a male individual who was looking for his friend’s residence. Subject was given a courtesy ride to the Lytle Public Library where he was going to get picked up. Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
