Lytle Police Report

July 12
2:45 AM – While on patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop at Hwy 132 and CR 6840 in which drug paraphernalia was seized.
8:37 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at Somerset St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a male that fell on the sidewalk.
11:48 AM – Officer responded to 15900 Blk. of FM 463 for a report of a 6×6 section of an iron fence that was stolen. The gate was opened to let water escape and was stolen sometime in the previous few days.
12:38 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Park Place for an active alarm. Upon arrival, it was discovered that Texas Star A/C was working at the house.
3:03 PM – Officer responded to Hack Family Practice to assist Lytle Public Works with taping off a sinkhole in the parking lot.
4:38 PM – Officer responded to Beall’s P-Lot and talked to complainant in reference to an online scam. The complainant stated someone claiming to be from Dr. Pepper would pay to put their logo on his truck. The complainant deposited a check that was sent to him into an unknown account at Bank of America in San Antonio. Incident occurred outside of the Lytle City limits.
July 13
1:14 AM – Officers were waved down by a driver and advised he had hit a deer on 2790 E before the city limits. An Atascosa Co. Deputy was contacted. Officers waited with the driver until the Deputy arrived.
12:25 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of an illegally parked vehicle in the handicapped parking. Upon arrival, all the vehicles parked in the handicapped parking had a handicapped hanger on the mirror or Disabled Veteran License Plates.
4:25 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
6:33 PM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Diaz St. for a report of a theft of a windmill. Complainant was not able to give a cash value for the windmill as it was a family heirloom.
9:26 PM – Traffic stop at AutoZone resulted in the discovery of a marijuana cigarette. A 23-year-old female subject was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released.
July 14
1:08 PM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church for a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officer issued a Criminal Trespass Warning as per request of the church.
1:40 PM – Officer responded to Hurley Funeral Home for a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the subject was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning as per request of the Funeral Home.
3:05 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Main St. for a welfare check on a male lying on the ground not moving. Upon arrival, the male was sleeping in the shade. All was okay.
4:35 PM – Officer responded to Taco Bell to assist Atascosa EMS with a 41-year-old female complaining of dizziness and fatigue.
6:17 PM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church for a welfare check on a male walking from the Dollar General. The male was seen and transported by Lytle EMS to University Hospital.
8:50 PM – Officers responded to 14500 Blk. of Railroad St. for a tree in the roadway. Officers contacted Public Works and they removed the tree from the roadway.
9:50 PM – While patrolling at 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. officers noticed a vehicle blocking the roadway. Officers conducted a field contact and discovered it was the daughter backing out of her mother’s house.
July 15
10:30 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:50 AM – Officer responded to Tots to Teens for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
3:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in reference to a theft. It is unknown what the male suspect took.
5:13 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a two vehicle crash.
6:53 PM – Officers responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a call from a resident stating she heard a loud pop inside her apartment and smelled smoke. Officers arrived and entered the apartment and discovered smoke and notified the Lytle Vol. Fire Dept.
8:50 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 to assist a motorist who ran out of fuel.
9:05 PM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of N Prairie St. for a report dogs chasing the complainant while she was out walking.
11:00 PM – While patrolling at IH 35 N at Mile Marker 132, officers noticed a vehicle parked on the shoulder. Officers made contact with the driver who stated his car was overheating and was waiting for it to cool down.
July 16
1:25 AM – While patrolling at IH 35 S Frontage Rd. at FM 3175, officers noticed a juvenile riding a bicycle. Officers made contact with a 14-year-old juvenile and provided a courtesy ride home and released to his mother.
2:04 AM – While patrolling at IH 35 s at FM 3175 officers noticed a juvenile female sitting in a vehicle. Officers made contact with the 14-year-old juvenile and detained her until her mother arrived and took her home. The mother stated the juvenile had taken her vehicle without permission.
4:52 AM – While patrolling at Benton City Rd. and IH 35 S Frontage Rd., a female came out of the bar ditch and flagged down the officer. Officer located the female who stated she was having a medical issue, seizures. The female then became unresponsive and she was transported by Atascosa EMS.
12:22 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a disturbance. The actor fled the scene before officers’ arrival.
4:05 PM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of Rocky’s Circle for a report of a dispute over young children riding a motorized vehicle on the roadway. The parent of the children agreed not to allow the vehicle on the roadway in the future.
5:52 PM – Officers responded to 17900 Blk. of Rocky Circle for a report of a verbal disturbance between neighbors over children on a motorized bike.
6:17 PM – Officers responded to 19400 Blk. of S Prairie St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
7:41 PM – Officers responded to 18800 Blk. of Live Oak St. an unrestrained dog, possibly vicious. Officers tried to make contact with the owner, but no one was home.
8:44 PM – While on patrol at IH 35 N Frontage Rd. and FM 2790, officers noticed a disabled 18-wheeler. Officers provided traffic control until it could be removed.
9:52 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a man whom complainant stated was intoxicated and getting ready to drive away in his truck. Officer arrived and discovered a man acting strangely, the wife agreed to drive her husband home.
11:49 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a business alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
11:51 PM – Officers conducted a field contact with a male subject at Main St. and S Benton St. Officers spoke to the individual who stated he was just waiting for his wife.
July 17
12:40 AM – Officers responded to 100 S View to assist Atascosa Co. with a residential alarm. Officer found the residence to be secure.
1:08 AM – Complainant flagged down the officers and described she was in Medina Co. and an older model Firebird turned on their red and blue lights. Officers contacted Medina Co. and passed on the information.
1:44 AM – Officers responded to 18500 Blk. of FM 2790 S for a report of an alarm. Officer spoke with the homeowner who stated he did not know why the alarm kept going off.
4:22 AM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
9:00 AM – Officer was contacted by complainant in reference to a sexual assault/indecency with a child case that took place 3 years prior. The complainant was just made aware of the alleged assault. Case under investigation.
12:47 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to discovering damage to the driver’s door above the handle of his vehicle. The complainant believes it occurred on 7/10/21 while his wife was at HEB Plus.
4:09 PM – Traffic stop at the 15000 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old male subject and 32-year-old female subject for Manufacture or Delivery of Controlled Substance PG1 4-200g of Methamphetamine and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 < 1g of Heroin. Officers also seized a small amount of Marijuana, numerous baggies, scales, and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
9:13 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
9:45 PM – While on patrol at Main St. and N Prairie St. officers noticed a disabled vehicle. Officers assisted the driver by jump-starting the vehicle.
July 18
1:30 AM – Officers responded to 18600 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of loud music. Upon arrival, officers discovered no loud music and spoke to the homeowner and he stated everybody was leaving.
1:55 AM – While on patrol at the 15400 Blk. of Laredo St. officers noticed a person walking along the street. Upon arrival, officers located the individual but noticed the back trunk of an SUV opened. Officer contacted the homeowner and stated she accidentally left it open.
1:59 AM – Officers were flagged down by a newspaper delivery who stated she saw a farm tractor at N Benton St. and Cottage St. and when she made her rounds back it was no longer there. Officers searched the area and spotted a residence that could own a farm tractor but were unable to contact the owner.
3:08 AM – While on patrol at Best Western Plus, officer noticed a man sleeping in a vehicle in the back area of the parking lot. Officer noticed the man had fresh/dried blood on his right-hand knuckles and possible bone protruding from one of the knuckles. Officer woke the man up and asked him what was going on. Subject stated he had an argument with his wife and came to his car to defuse the situation. Both are staying in the hotel. Officer spoke with the wife who stated she was not assaulted and was waiting for her father to arrive to pick her up and her twin infant daughters.
11:16 AM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of subjects refusing to leave the property after check-out. Officers made contact and the subjects stated they had run out of gas. Fuel was put in the vehicle and the subjects left the property.
5:28 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 131 NB to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, the fire was already extinguished. Units cleared the scene as it was Medina Co. Sheriff’s Officer Jurisdiction.
9:24 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
