Lawrence Fritz Heiligman

Lawrence Fritz Heiligman, of Hondo, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2020 at the age of 92. He was born April 25, 1928 in Quihi, Texas. He was one of four children born to Anton and Della Borchers Heiligman.
Lawrence served in the United States Army for two years in the Korean War. Upon his return, he worked for a company building a gas pipeline throughout Texas. He then went on to work for the Medina Electric Cooperative for over thirty years, retiring at the age of 65.
He was an active member of the Sons of Hermann as well as the American Legion. Lawrence enjoyed playing cards with his friends, fishing and hunting. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his two children, Larry Heiligman of Hondo and Nancy Heiligman French of Round Rock; son-in-law, Dale Brian French of Round Rock; two grandchildren,Colby French and Kendall French; sister, Mary Ann (Bill) Feltner; sister-in-law, Mary Heiligman.
Fritz was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Della Heiligman; wife, Georgia Mae Haby Heiligman; brothers, Raymond (Virginia) Heiligman and Leroy Heiligman.
Public Visitation was Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo. A Graveside Service was held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Quihi Cemetery in Quihi, Texas.
