Lawrence Daniel MacDonald, of San Antonio, passed away on October 15, 2019 at the age of 71 years. He was born July 28, 1948 in Manhattan, New York, one of four children of Donald Michael MacDonald and Dolores Gonzales MacDonald.
Lawrence served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Before he retired, Lawrence worked as an electrician and plumber.
Survivors include his daughters, Dolores MacDonald of San Antonio and Emily MacDonald of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandson, Julian Rydberg of Las Vegas; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Paul Helfer of Seguin; nieces and nephew, Lorraine (Steven) Gonzales, Emil Helfer and Kim Burnett; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews; companion – Sharyn Stern.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dolores MacDonald; brother, Donald MacDonald, Jr. and sister, Lorraine MacDonald.
Visitation was Wednesday, October 23, 2019 starting at 2:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Services concluded at the funeral home.
