Lady Pirates on a winning streak

Calyssa Sevier hit her first home run of the season.

The Lady Pirates are on a winning run. They have won their last 4 district games and sit at 4-3 and 5-4 overall. They will play at home on April 6th against Natalia and then be on the road to Cotulla on April 9th.
Playing Dilley at home, the Lady Pirates allowed them the first run but then took the lead in the bottom of the 3rd and never looked back to win it 6-1. They earned 10 hits and only allowed 4. With Moriah Gomez on the mound, Lytle earned 10 strike outs, and 16 first pitch strikes. Natalie Pacheco, Emma Keith, and Elysa Aleman each had 2 hits and Aleman had 2 RBIs.
Poteet was a tougher team for the Lady Pirates. The Aggies had14 hits but only 9 runs while Lytle had 12 hits and 10 runs to win the game. Gomez earned the win as the pitcher with 6 strike outs and 28 first pitch strikes. Calyssa Sevier had 4 hits and 5 RBIS and Aleman’s good eye earned her 2 walks.
Monday night against Karnes City, the Lady Pirates won it after being tied at the end of the 5th. They scored their wining 3 runs in the top of the 7th to win it 13-10. They earned 9 hits but had 5 errors. Gomez was on the mound again and had 18 first pitch strikes and 7 strike outs. She also earned 2 hits. Keith also had 2 hits. Pacheco and Seiver each walked 3 times and Aleman had 2 RBIs.
