Lady Mustangs scrimmage Somerset, Comfort

The Natalia Lady Mustangs competed in their lone scrimmages of the season last Saturday at home as they hosted the Somerset Lady Bulldogs and the Comfort Deer. After getting a few kinks and early season jitters out of the way, Natalia was set to open their season on press night in Somerset.
“The scrimmages went really well for us,” Coach Doug Lum said. “We played some solid teams that gave us a ton of good looks. Our effort level was high and we had good intensity.”
Coach Lum was asked what areas he felt needed immediate improvement: “We have to rebound better and take care of the ball,” Lum said. “There is a ton of potential with this program.”
Natalia opened their season as mentioned on press night in Somerset. This coming Saturday, November 10th Natalia travels to Nixon to battle the Lady Mustangs at 1:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, November 13th, San Marcos Home School comes to town for a 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. battle.
“Our goal is simple,” Lum said. “We are going to work hard and get better every day.”
