In their first scrimmage of the season, August 7th, the Lady Mustangs faced Poteet. Natalia and Poteet are in the same district this year with Cotulla, Dilley, Jourdanton, Karnes City, Lytle, and Poth.
“Our kids looked good all the way from JV2 to Varsity. We definitely had some nerves to work through and some team chemistry to figure out, but those are all things that will come with time. We need to polish up our passing game and continue to be aggressive offensively at the net.
Coaching JV 2 is Monica Spangler. She and her husband came here from Childress. We are very happy to add them and their daughters to our Mustang Family.
Coaching JV1 is Tara Cortinas. She is my right hand gal! We are very fortunate to have Coach Cortinas!” said Coach Tamara Bednorz
The Lady Mustangs are ready for a new season and will face George West this Friday, August 14th and Tilden August 15th.
