The Lady Mustangs sent a team of powerlifters to State last week and they brought home 2nd in State! “The girls competed fearlessly against the best in the State; falling short by 1 pt. We couldn’t be any more proud of them,” said Jasmine Vasquez. Winning the 198 weight class was Jasmine Ramon and Jiselle Gonzales won the 220 weight class! Sophi Padilla earned 6th in the 97 weight class, Meg Martin 2nd in 105s, Jalesca Schorsch 3rd in 114s, and in the 191 Gabby Munoz earned 2nd. These powerful athletes took 2nd place in State out of 42 teams.
On Saturday, Dustin Soto will represent the Mustangs in the boy’s State Meet in Abilene. Good Luck Soto!
