Now 6-2 for the season, the JV Warhorses are looking strong and are ready to take on everyone at the Dilley Tournament this weekend. On Tuesday is a big game against Hondo with the JV and Freshman playing at 5pm in different gyms and the Varsity will play at 6:30. The Arabians are off that night and the gym will be packed for these games.
On November 23rd, the JV Warhorses faced Marion and led at the end of the first quarter at 10-8. But in the second quarter, Marion took control and the lead for the rest of the game. Devine lost 29-39 in only their second loss of the season. “The boys played a tough game vs Marion. We worked hard but just couldn’t make any shots. Marion is a tough hardworking team,” added Coach Gary Schmidt.
