Offensive production was not lacking for the boys in blue, as they strung together their 4th victory of the season last Thursday on the road in the Strawberry Capital of Texas. Natalia was able to dominate from start to finish, en route to a 55-14 victory over Poteet.
“We came out and we took care of business,” Coach Jeff Terry said.
Natalia was able to produce the season high 55 points thanks to offensive touchdowns by: Coltin Richardson(receiving), Enrique Martinez (rushing), Ryan Rizo (rushing), Jacob Navarro (1 rushing/1 throwing) and Adrian Vasquez (rushing).
Defensively, the Mustangs also produced and contributed to scoring as Rizo had a fumble recovery in which he ran in and scored with. Tanner Crone also had an interception which he returned for a score.
Adding to the defensive success was Justin Watkins and David Aguirre who had fumble recoveries and Manuel Garcia and Brandon Sierra who caused fumbles.
The Mustangs will welcome bye week 2018 as they prepare for their district opener at home on October 11th as the Stockdale Brahmas come to town.
