JV Mustangs romp past Southwest Dragons

The Natalia JV Mustangs scored in each of their four quarters last Thursday at Southwest Dragon Stadium vs. the Freshman Dragons. Elijah Banda led the charge offensively scoring four of six touchdowns en route to a lop-sided 42-0 road victory.
“Our team did a great job in all three phases of the game versus Southwest,” JV Coach Jeff Terry said. “Defensively, we had another solid performance with the shutout.”
Banda was complimented by Arturo Zapata who had a receiving touchdown and Gabriel Perez who had one rushing TD and also threw the TD pass to Zapata.
David Silva led the defense with an interception.
“Our offense did a great job of running effectively and everyone truly contributed on both sides of the football,” Terry said.
With the win, Natalia improves to 7-0 overall as they will prepare for a home game Thursday, October 24th as Poth comes to town for a 5:30 p.m. battle.
