JV Arabians win again

In a double header against Poteet and Ingram, the JV Arabians dominated under the leadership of Coach Julie Oropeza. “Strong serving was definitely a key to the game as the Arabians tallied 18 aces against the Lady Aggies. Passes off free balls were on point and set up several good opportunities for Devine to control the game offensively; scoring 8 points off of kills on 14 attempts,” said Coach Oropeza. The JV Arabians won 25-12 and 25-7.
Karsyn Brown 3 aces, 2 kills, 1 dig. Neenah Guerrero 2 aces, 1 dig. Kelsey Dishman 6 assists. Kate Featherly 4 aces, 2 assists. Kaylee Romano 7 aces. Denise Contreras 1 kill. Makayla Rivera 1 kill. Avery Mobley 3 kills. Maddie DuBose 2 aces, 1 kill, 2 blocks, 1 dig.
In the second game of the night against Ingram, the Arabians totaled 10 aces, 24 digs, and 14 kills to get the win at 25-19 and 25-16. “Serve receive was once again solid, but the digs from the Arabian defense were spectacular, allowing Devine to stay in the attack on offense,” said Coach Oropeza. This win moves the JV Arabians to 4-0.
Brown 3 aces, 1 kill, 3 digs. Guerrero 2 aces, 10 digs. Dishman 1 ace, 5 assists. Featherly 1 ace, 5 kills, 1 assist, 4 digs. Contreras 3 digs. Rivera 1 kill, 1 dig. Mobley 1 kill, 1 block. DuBose 4 kills. Romano 3 aces, 7 digs.
This team is currently undefeated and “they are going to be a really tough JV to beat,” Coach Oropeza.
