The Devine JV Arabians won the District 29-4A track meet last week at Warhorse Stadium. The Arabians scored 207 points to beat out Carrizo Springs and Hondo who finished second and third respectively.
Bright spots for the Arabians were first place finishes by Audrey Longoria in the 800m, the 1600m, 3200m, and Pole Vault. Hannah Stolzman won Long Jump, Gillian Estala won Shot Put, and Maddie Mata won Discus while second place marks were achieved by Stolzman in 100m Dash, Allison Stevens in 200m Dash, Grace Singleton in 3200m and 1600m runs, Mata in Shot Put, and Brianna Torres in Discus.
Bronze medals went to Autum Miller in 400m Dash, Mackenzie McClellan in in Shot Put, and to Brooke Schott in Discus. Each of the relay teams also finished in the top three.
“These girls are tough,” Cozby stated. “They competed at a high level and earned points in every event.”
