The JV Arabians went 1-1 last week against Hondo and Carrizo Springs. Now with a 3-3 district record and 10-8 overall, Coach Hannah Thompson’s team will have to push hard to beat Pearsall in their final game this Friday.
Coming out aggressive and ready to win against the Owls, the Arabians struggled to find the basket in the first but came back to lead 16-10 at the half. Hondo was able to hold Devine to just 2 points in the third and tie the game up at 18-18 by the end of the quarter. It all came down to the final moments of the game when Hondo pulled ahead for the 25-22 win over the Arabians.

Driven by that defeat, the JV team took out their frustration against Carrizo Springs to win it 38-17 in a one sided match. The Arabians blew past their opponent’s defense to find the basket. Carrizo had the ball stole over and over which led to the Arabians taking and holding the lead the entire game.
