JV Arabians beat Bandera, split games in weekend doubleheader

Putting the Bandera Bulldogs away on Tuesday, the JV Arabians had a double header on Saturday against Llano and Salado. It was on Saturday that they fell for the first time this season.
Devine made quick work of the Bulldogs, beating them 25-6 and 25-8.
“I’m proud of the girl’s work as they continue to take care of business on the court. I’m excited to see what they will do in Salado this weekend as I believe it will be our biggest competition yet!” Coach Kara Stacy said.

Llano was a little tougher and made Devine work harder for every point. Devine hustled and won 25-17 and 25-18.

Salado was the first team to beat the JV Arabians this season but it was not without a huge fight from the team. Salado took the first set 10-25 and Devine turned it around in the second to win it 25-22. In the final set, the Arabians fought hard but fell behind and lost 18-25.
”Even though we suffered our first loss, I’m proud of the girls for putting up a good fight and never giving up. I’m excited to see what we do this coming week against La Vernia!” Coach Stacy said.

The JV Arabians will host Marion this Friday and then play in Navarro on September 8.
