Julius Joseph “Chubby” Petrash, of Lytle, Texas passed away peacefully at Lytle Nursing Home Friday, November 2, 2018, at the age of 94.
Julius was born March 7, 1924 in Weimer, TX to Henry and Annie (Sustr) Petrash Sr., both precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his wife Ruby “Jean” Petrash (Love); brothers Pete Petrash and wife Louise, Johnny Petrash and wife Mary Frances, Felix Petrash and wife Annie, Henry Petrash Jr. and wife Georgia, and sisters Margaret Bohac and her husband Frank, Irene Klare and her husband Louis, and Anita Frietsch and her husband Werner, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Julius is survived by his sons Julius Roy Petrash and wife Donna, of Brenham, Texas. Joseph William “J.W.” Petrash and his wife Julie of Lytle, Texas. Granddaughters; Audrey Erin Petrash of Houston, Texas, Morgan Ashlyn Petrash and her fiancé Oliver O’Neil Lewis of Lytle, Texas, Jessica (Korth) Grimes and her husband Charlie of Bryan, Texas, Katie Krenek and her husband Kyle of Brenham, Texas. Great-Granddaughters; Emilee Korth, Avery Grimes, and Lexi Krenek.
Chubby never met a stranger; he loved all his family and friends dearly.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Hurley Funeral Home Lytle, Texas. Chapel Service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. Hurley Funeral Home Lytle, Texas with a meal to follow at the Oak Park Country Club 15235 Hester Street, Lytle, Texas. Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 9:30 A.M. Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery San Antonio, Texas.
