Josefina Garcia, of Atascosa, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 in San Antonio, at the age of 97.
Josefina was born March 28, 1921 in San Juan, Texas to Eugenio and Rosa (Gonzales) Garcia, both who precede her, along with her husband, Jose Fidel Garcia Galindo; sons, Rogelio Garcia and Fidel Garcia; and her brother, Jesus Garcia, and grandsons, Ismael Garcia, Jesus S. Garcia, and Alfredo G. Garcia.
She is survived by her sons, Jose Guadalupe Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Roberto Garcia; daughters, Maria G. Garcia, Maria de Jesus Lopez; sisters, Hortencia Garnado Garcia, Aurora Perez Garcia, Rebecca Ozuna, Connie Bentancourt and nineteen grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren, and twenty-seven great-great-grandchildren
Visitation was held Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Lytle.
Funeral Mass was Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Von Ormy, with interment following at the First Memorial Park Cemetery in Von Ormy.
