John Henry Hernandez, of Natalia, formerly of Castroville, passed away at his home on October 22, 2020 at the age of 57 years. He was born February 20, 1963 in Castroville, one of eleven children of Francisco “Frank” Gomez Hernandez and Lucia Quintanilla Hernandez.
Survivors include his children, Ashley Royal (Dusty) of La Coste, Michelle Esparza (Ricky) of San Antonio, Jasper Martinez Hernandez of Natalia and John Henry “Rowdy” Hernandez, Jr. (Kimberly) of Castroville; his significant other, Cynthia Bendele of Natalia; siblings, Eddie Hernandez (Anita), Maria Hernandez (Henry), Frank Hernandez, Esther Olivan (Luis), Lucia Solis (Lloyd), Rudy Hernandez (Irma) and Hilda Fernandez (Vincent); ten grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Lucia Hernandez; sisters, Juanita Hernandez and Jovita Trevino; brother, Pablo Hernandez; nephew, Mario Lozano; and his uncle, Ramon Quintanilla.
Public Visitation was Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited that evening at 6:00 pm.
Services concluded at the funeral home.
