Joe V. Villarreal, age 71 of Devine, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas.
Joe was born November 10, 1949, in Pearsall, Texas, to parents, Jose and Lydia Villarreal. He was a 1972 graduate of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcus, Texas where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Accounting. He worked for Frost Bank in San Antonio, Texas for 46 years and retired as an Executive Vice President. Joe was a fan of all sports especially playing Golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Lydia Villarreal; wife of 47 years, Sally (Celia) Villarreal. Joe is survived by his sons, Mark Joseph Villarreal and wife, Alice, Michael James Villarreal and wife, Laura, grandchildren, Bryan, Brandon, Emily, Elias, and Ethan.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021, 2:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. Hurley Funeral Home Chapel Devine, Texas. Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 25, 2021, 2:00 P.M. St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Devine, Texas with interment to follow in Moore Catholic Cemetery.
