Isaiah Morin State Bound! Warhorse XC runner in Round Rock Nov. 6

Senior Isaiah Morin will represent Devine Warhorse Cross Country at State on Saturday, November 6. Morin qualified for the Round Rock mega-event by placing 21st in last week’s Regional Meet in Corpus Christi. The Warhorses placed 9th as a team.
Morin’s 21st place finish came as he and the rest of his teammates competed in a field of 173 runners from Region 4 Class 4A. He ran the 5K course in 18:34.5.
Senior Christopher Ortiz ran his best Corpus Christi time in his career finishing in 19:24.7. Ortiz came in 45th individually.
Thomas TJ Mendoza came in 54th place. Mendoza, a junior, also ran a sub-20min race with a 19:40.5.
Senior Marcus Espinosa closed out his high school career in 89th place. Espinosa ran 20:44.3.
Freshman Taylor Hurst ran an exceptional race. Hurst placed 121st with a time of 21:48.5.
Junior Jesse House closed out the race as far as Warhorses are concerned with a 22:17.7. House placed 134th overall.
