Husband and wife arrested during drug bust at local business

Medina County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a raid at a local business called the Handy Haus Wednesday, June 6, in Natalia. A husband and wife were arrested and charged with “Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance PG1 4G<200G” and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – Firearm.
The business is located on the left at the intersection of Hwy 132, FM 471 and Aubrey Street just before you enter downtown Natalia.
“While making an arrest at the same business earlier that day, deputies observed enough in plain sight that allowed us to get a search warrant for the property, which led to the arrest of the property owners, a 71-year-old male and his 47-year-old wife, of Natalia. We executed the search warrant that afternoon, and deputies found drugs prepared for sale, including 4.9 grams of meth and 3.7 oz of marijuana. The place is called the Handy Haus, where they actually do state vehicle inspections,” said Sheriff Randy Brown.
The couple were each booked into Medina County Jail on bonds of $100,000 Surety Bond (poss of CS) and an additional $50,000 Surety Bond for the weapon charge. They remained in custody as of press time.
