Green containers only will be picked up in City of Lytle now

Help spread the word that only the new green trash containers will be picked up in the City of Lytle.
“Waste Management is telling us that due to the COVID-19 outbreak at their company, they will not have the old truck out anymore. Which means only the new truck will be picking up garbage this week, so only the new green cans will be picked up. None of the customers’ own trash cans will be picked up this week. We are encouraging people to call for an additional new container if needed, ASAP. Your help with this will be greatly appreciated,” said Josie Campa, City Secretary, Lytle.
City of Lytle Garbage service changes to green carts and once a week pickup
Changes to your trash pick-up service – The City of Lytle has partnered with Waste Management to provide weekly trash service and monthly bulk pick-up.
Trash collection is weekly on Thursday. Bulk collection is the last Monday and Tuesday of every month.

Residents must use the 96-gallon green cart for items considered trash.
To ensure collection, carts must be at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. You may set carts out after 5:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled collection. Carts must be removed by noon the day following collection. *Note: Collections may not occur at the same time of day each week.
