Garza, Joslin, & Bowyer headed to State XC; Warhorses 5th, Arabians 7th at Regionals

The Devine Warhorse and Arabian Cross Country teams ran at the Regional Meet in Corpus Christi Tuesday morning. With each squad fresh off district championship performances a couple of weeks ago, the dream to make it to state competition was the goal as the races began a little after 10:00am.
For three Devine runners, that dream became reality as Warhorse Xavier Garza and Arabians Katelyn Joslin and Brianna Bowyer qualified to run in Round Rock on Tuesday, November 24th.
Xavier is making a return trip to State after his 2019 showing, while Katelyn and Brianna are going for the first time as individuals. Brianna made it to state as a sophomore when the Arabian team advanced in 2018.
After failing to advance as a team in quite some time, the Warhorses placed fifth as a team. Joining Garza was Isaiah Morin, Rylan Mata, Thomas Mendoza, Christopher Ortiz, Marcus Espinosa, and Kristofer Aguirre.
The Arabians placed seventh overall. Aside from Joslin and Bowyer, Arabians Kristina Moralez, Yessika Garza, Trinity Black, Rebecca Mares, and Corinne Fowler.
