Frio County: residents ordered to “Shelter in Place”

Frio County Judge Arnulfo Luna has issued an Executive Order for County-wide Shelter in Place. This order will be effective as of 11:59 pm on Tuesday March 31, 2020 and continuing through 11:59 pm on April 6, 2020.
The order states that “extraordinary measures must be taken to mitigate the effect of this public health emergency.”
“All persons who reside in Frio County are directed to stay home and may only leave their residence to engage in allowable activities,” such as getting necessary supplies or going to the doctor, or if you work for an “Exempted Business”. The Frio County Sheriff’s office notes that “Any violations will be enforced by the Frio County Sheriff’s Office. Failure to comply can result into a $1,000 fine and/or up to 180 days in jail.”
