Four arrested after shooting of child

On August 28, 2020, Medina County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired in the 18000 block of CR 5740, Medina River West Subdivision in Castroville. Once on scene, it was discovered a 13-year-old juvenile male was shot in the leg and the suspect(s) were no longer on scene.
During the course of the investigation and three search warrants later, Medina County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were able to identify and obtain arrest warrants on the suspects. Three male subjects were all arrested on September 17thfor Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. One was released on September 18th on a $15,000 Surety bond, a second was released on September 18th on a $20,000 Surety bond and a third is still in custody on a $150,000 Surety bond. A fourth suspect turned himself in to the Medina County Jail for the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on September 21st and was released same day on a $20,000 Surety Bond.
Victim is recovering and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
