Forrestena May “Tena” Rotramel Squire

Forrestena May “Tena” Rotramel Squire left her earthly place to be with our Lord and Savior in Heaven on Thursday April 11th, 2024. She is now in full glory, reunited with her husband and oldest son, along with the great cloud of witnesses testifying to the holiness of Jesus for all eternity.

Tena was born on March 20th, 1950 in San Antonio to Forrest and Lula May Rotramel of Devine, Texas. She graduated from Devine High School in 1968 and Texas Woman’s University in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising. She met her dearly devoted husband, Harvey, on a blind date on New Year’s Eve 1972 and they married on July 28, 1973 in Devine. Tena worked in the fashion industry for Dillard’s as a mens’ accessory buyer and later, her favorite role in life was “Grandma.” Her dedication to her grandchildren was unmatched, and her love for them unconditional.

Tena is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey Orville Squire, their son John David Squire, her parents Forrest and Lula May Rotramel, her sister Jane, and brother Forrest, brother in law Harley Squire Jr., sister in law Mary Bryce, brother in law Billy Marek, brother in law Dale Lusk, and brother in law Paul Hymel, mother and father in law Valeska and Harley Squire, and nephew Andy Squire.

She is survived by her son James Matthew Squire and daughter Sarah Katheryn Boehme, daughter in law Laura Squire and son in law Kiel Boehme, grandchildren Rebekah Katheryn Boehme, Baylee Anne Boehme, Logan David Squire, Brayden Thomas Boehme, and Jack William Squire, her siblings Judy Lusk, Alvena Hymel, James Rotramel and wife Linda, and John Rotramel and wife Mary, brother in law Charlie and wife Rose, sister in law Carol Squire, brother in law James Bryce, numerous nieces and nephews including Blaine Rotramel, Jamie Zavodny, Jeremy Rotramel, Devin Rotramel, Nathan Rotramel, Ryan Rotramel, David Marek, Donna Reynolds, Debbie Weers, Julie King, James Bryce Jr., Becky Bryce, and Jennifer Squire, as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Tena dearly loved the Lord, her family, her friends, and her church community at Devine Wesleyan Fellowship.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18th from 5:00-9:00 pm at Primrose Funeral Home in Devine, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19th at 10:00am at First United Methodist Church in Devine, Texas with a burial service to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
