Ciavarra Elementary will host its annual Drug Free Red Rally Monday, Oct. 23 at Warhorse Stadium beginning at 9:30 am.
“This is our “kick-off” to Red Ribbon Week, which encourages all students to have a drug-free life,” Mrs. Brenda Gardner, principal, said.
The rally will feature the Devine High School band and cheerleaders, along with representatives from the Warhorse and Arabian football and volleyball teams. FCCLA officers will speak and FFA members will help with the presentation of colors.
“It is a time to celebrate our youth, with messages of encouragement from older kids that our children admire,” Gardner said.
City officials including Mayor Bill Herring and City Manager Dora Rodriguez will also be at the rally to support children.
Every day of the week is a dress-up day for students at the elementary and intermediate:

Wednesday, October 25 – “Real Heroes Don’t Do Drugs” Super Heroes Day
