Dorothy Gueldner Granberg, age 91, of Lytle, Texas went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 3, 2018.
Dorothy was born November 7, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to Paul and Sophie Gueldner. She was a Charter Member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lytle, Texas where she was an active member. She enjoyed working in the kitchen at vacation bible school and helping wherever she was needed. She served as Postmaster for 20 years at the U.S. Post Office in Lytle, Texas until her retirement in 1989. In retirement she was a fulltime grandmother and always available to help in any way she could. She also made gift bags including her own created mug rugs, and presented them to residents of SAMMC Fisher House for several years. Dorothy knew so many people in her community and lived a very rewarding life. She was a very strong, loving, and caring Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She loved to cook and her skills in the kitchen were appreciated by everyone who had the pleasure of enjoying one of her meals. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Sophie Gueldner; husband, Karl Granberg; sister, Pauline Pratt.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Karl Granberg III (K.G.) wife Jo; Eric Granberg wife Brenda; daughters, Sonja Royal husband Frank; Karla Dominguez husband Jim; Greta Pawelek; Heidi Debner husband Tom; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Lytle, Texas. The funeral service was held at 3:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Lytle, Texas with internment following at Lytle Community Cemetery.
