The Devine Golf Course hosted the DJ Carlson Memorial Bust’n Birdies on September 11 & 12. Friday night many people came out and enjoyed a beautiful evening with the Cornhole Tournament, winning team being Jack Clark and Kirk Kuykendall. Saturday, 19 Teams turned out and enjoyed a beautiful day of golf along with silent auction. Two teams tied for first place splitting the winnings of $2800.00. 3rd place walked away with $600.00. Chris Miller of Devine walked away with a pair of airline tickets after sinking a hole in one on hole #17.
Overall the event raised over $15,000.00 for the DJ Carlson Memorial Fund (501c3) which provides scholarships and so much more to Devine and surrounding Communities.
