DHS FCCLA presents program to Current Events Club

National Convention-bound FCLA team of Karma Herring, Caitlyn Breiten, and Kendall Marek.

Delicious food, a creative program, and an officer’s installation were highlights of the May 14 meeting of the Current Events Club in the home of Linda Stanton.
“Live Happily Without Cavities” was presented by Devine High School’s FCCLA team made up of Karma Herring, Kendall Marek and Caitlyn Breiten. The girls will take their presentation to the National Competition in Anaheim, California on June 30. Accompanying the girls was sponsor, Korrey Paige.
Club members voted to donate $500 to Mission Devine and $500 to the “Gift of Hope.”
Linda Stanton installed new officers with a candy bar theme. New officers for the club are: Sarah Mc Alpin, president; Linda Kreinhop, first vice-president; Kay Shultz, second vice-president; Cherri Budington, recording secretary; Laura Sinclair, corresponding secretary and Dinah Argo, treasurer.
