Devine Police Report Sept. 29-Oct. 5

September 29
10:34 AM – Complainant reported a female and a male at the Devine Little League Field. The female was located and advised she was waiting for her ride. Unable to locate male. Everything okay.
1:27 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of N. Transportation Dr. Marijuana was found in the vehicle. A male subject was jailed for possession of marijuana less than 2 oz., and a female subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
4:11 PM – Two male subjects and one female subject at Walmart were cited and released for theft less than $100.
4:17 PM – KSAT 12 was on location at Devine High School. Mr. Byrd asked the SRO to have them removed.
4:45 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart for a detained shoplifter. Two male subjects were cited and released for theft less than $100. One of the subjects was also cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia.
9:33 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Live Oak Dr. didn’t want the parents of her boyfriend staying at the residence. Parties separated; all was okay.
11:51 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of W. Hondo Ave. The underage male driver was found to be in possession of an alcoholic beverage and was cited. The subject was also found to be in possession of a handgun and was jailed.
September 30
11:00 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of E. Colonial Pkwy. The driver and passenger were found to be in possession of narcotics and were jailed.
9:42 PM – Complainant reported juvenile subjects possibly smoking marijuana in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. Officer patrolled the area; unable to locate.
October 1
11:52 AM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office with a family disturbance in the 800 block of CR 768. All was okay.
1:30 PM – Complainant’s cell phone was stolen from the DHS gym on Sept. 30.
4:56 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. spoke to officer in reference to four tires and rims that were stolen from behind a shed on Sept. 29.
11:08 PM – Complainant at the Devine Plaza Apartments called in reference to a disturbance but was not fully cooperative with dispatch. Upon arrival, complainant was not on location. Officers spoke with complainant via public service and complainant would not give details but said she did not need police.
October 2
1:20 AM – In reference to a possible theft of a cell phone from a female in Lytle. Complainant requested attempt to make contact with male subject. No contact was made.
3:53 AM – Report of a white Chevy Astro van on location at John Curcio Park. No one in vehicle. No warrants.
7:21 AM – Report of a Chevy pickup truck in the middle of Hondo Ave. with hazards on and no one near the vehicle. Unable to locate.
9:30 AM – A 44-year-old patient at Sterling Adult Daycare was being combative. Subject calmed down and was transported by EMS. No property damage.
9:30 AM – A white 1990 Mazda pickup truck was stolen from the 200 block of S. Transportation Dr. Vehicle was unlocked, and was later recovered in Atascosa County.
9:46 AM – A weedeater and an air compressor were taken from a building in the 200 block of S. Transportation Dr. Forced entry.
10:15 AM – Complainant in the 400 block of Monticello Cir. reported male subjects wearing camo possibly attempted to gain entry into the residence. Contact was made; all were solicitors, and were issued warnings for soliciting without a permit. All was okay.
12:17 PM – The registered owner of the unoccupied van at John Curcio Park was notified of its location.
12:35 PM – Complainant found a key to a Ford vehicle in the roadway on Hayden Ave.
2:44 PM – Officer assisted the MCSO with a report of a suspicious male hanging around a church on Hwy. 132 N. Unable to locate.
October 3
1:07 AM – Complainant at the Devine Manor Apartments reported an unknown person possibly knocking on the door. No one was located.
4:53 PM – Complainant reported a maroon Nissan Versta with out-of-state plates had an unrestrained child in the back seat on SB IH-35 near mile marker 126. Vehicle not located.
8:10 PM – A male subject on a motorcycle did a burnout and a wheelie during the National Night Out even. The subject was located, stopped, arrested, and jailed.
October 4
1:27 PM – A Honda vehicle key with a blue tag from Fernandez Honda in San Antonio was lost on Sept. 16.
October 5
1:12 AM – An employee leaving Devine Middle School observed a vehicle in the parking lot and wanted it checked out. All was okay.
5:01 AM – Officer assisted the MCSO with a theft in progress. Vehicle departed and headed for Devine. The vehicle was stopped in the 300 block of Cardinal, and two male subjects were detained. The subjects were arrested for burglary of a motor vehicle.
12:45 PM – A blue Chevy pickup truck was driving at a high rate of speed on SB Hwy. 173. DPS made contact with the subject.
1:03 PM – Officer assisted DPS with an intoxicated driver in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr.
