Devine Police Report Oct. 29-Nov. 4

Oct. 29
8:43 AM – Officers dispatched to the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a male subject who was upset. Doctor ordered to transport the subject to the hospital for mental health.
5:20 PM – Vehicle stopped in the 100 block of E. Hondo Ave. for an expired sticker. A male subject was driving without a license. Tow truck took custody of vehicle.
6:33 PM – Vehicle stopped for expired registration in the 400 block of N. Transportation Dr. A male subject had no driver’s license, no insurance, and was in possession of an open container of alcohol. Tow truck took custody of vehicle.
Oct. 30
12:08 AM – Resident in the 300 block of Briscoe Ave. upset about not being able to smoke per doctor’s orders. Subject calmed down and went to bed; all was okay.
8:35 AM – Complainant at Walmart reported a vehicle that had been in the parking lot for three weeks. Vehicle was not stolen.
9:11 AM – Complainant reported she left her wallet containing an iPhone 12, cash, and driver’s license in the 500 block of S. Teel Dr. A theft list was left with the complainant. Video needs to be retrieved from location.
9:53 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of E. Hondo Ave. reported a male subject crawling in a restaurant. Officer canceled because patient was picked up by employee.
1:15 AM – Officer assisted Natalia PD with a verbal dispute between mother and daughter in the 500 block of Aubrey in Natalia; all was okay.
4:04 PM – Complainant reported the theft of a catalytic converter. Vehicle was parked in the Park and Ride from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
10:00 PM – Unknown person reported to store clerk in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. that he had seen two males sitting in a silver sedan and not go into store. Passenger had what appeared to be a pistol in his lap. Vehicle left location prior to officer’s arrival.
Oct. 31
1:02 AM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of Jack Nicklaus Dr. in reference to loud music in the area. Officers made contact with homeowner and music was turned down.
2:17 AM – Officer observed male subject fighting in parking lot in the 200 block of College Ave. All subject departed location. Victim refused to cooperate with police and left location.
1:01 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Corley Dr. reported missing jewelry. Open door.
3:27 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of DIlley in reference to burning shrubs. Fire put out; all was okay.
7:02 PM – Frio County passed along a traffic control for a dark colored Ford pickup traveling without tail lights on on IH-35 NB. Officer made contact with violator.
8:50 PM – Vehicle stopped in the 400 block of E. Hondo Ave. for driving without headlights when required. Officer located pipe used for smoking marijuana and driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
9:46 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of E. Malone Dr. was upset that her male roommate was intoxicated and would not give back her phone. Officers arrived and parties had already separated.
Nov. 1
12:00 AM – Vehicle stopped on IH-35 SB for a traffic violation. A female subject was cited and released for driving without a license.
1:58 AM – Vehicle stopped on IH-35 S. Driver and passenger relocated to Border Patrol. Vehicle towed.
1:59 AM – Officer found marijuana blunt inside of impounded vehicle and placed it into evidence.
3:46 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of CR 6854 stated people were inside residence and he had locked himself inside bathroom. Resident at location said no one by complainant’s name resided at location.
11:31 AM – Complainant reported vehicles not stopping at stop signs on Upson Dr. and almost striking students walking.
3:53 PM – Male subject on Dove Ave. cited and released for driving without a license.
11:45 PM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office in the 2000 block of CR 772 with a female subject who was out walking away from her residence on CR 6720 with a knife and feeling suicidal. Subject transported to hospital.
Nov. 2
3:00 AM – Male subject in the 1300 block of S. Windy Knoll Dr. was cited for driving without a license. Tow truck took possession of vehicle.
8:00 AM – Complainant reported a male subject stealing a ladder from a residence in the 1200 block of Devine Dr. Police recovered ladder.
8:30 AM – Traffic light not working on N. Windy Knoll Dr. TxDot was contacted.
12:30 PM – Officer called by third party about an accident in the Devine High School parking lot. Officer made location and was unable to locate accident.
Nov. 3
1:24 PM – Complainant heard yelling from residence in the 500 block of Corley and an elderly male walked out. All was okay; verbal argument between resident and daughter.
2:05 PM – Complainant found lady’s wallet; owner contacted.
4:15 PM – Complainant on Jack Nicklaus Dr. reported a white Toyota Camry in the area. All was okay; solicitors had permits.
Nov. 4
8:10 AM – Complainant reported a white four-door Chevy with a Washington plate parked near her home. All was okay; male driver was a surveyor for the area. Complainant was notified.
11:38 AM – Complainant reported the burglary of a vehicle in the 1200 block of Devine Dr. Tools were taken from work truck and were recovered by police.
6:55 PM – Semis parked incorrectly at Walmart.
