Devine Police Report July 6-12


July 6
11:56 PM – Officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the 100 block of E. Hondo Ave. The male driver was found to have a suspended license, and a small amount of heroin was located. Charges pending.
July 7
5:43 AM – Officer dispatched to Zig Zag Ave. in reference to two juveniles walking in the area. Unable to locate, all was okay.
6:50 PM – Officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the 800 block of N. Teel Dr. The female driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was jailed for DWI 2nd, 12 municipal warrants, and possession of crack cocaine.
10:30 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Black Jack Ln. reported two Hispanic males in a brown truck driving around the area. Unable to locate.
10:55 PM – Officer dispatched to Black Jack Ln. in reference to someone at complainant’s back door. Officer later made contact with a possible male subject. The subject was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
July 8
2:10 AM – Officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. The female driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
4:10 AM – Complainant advised of a truck sitting in a lot in the 300 block of Bowman Ave. with its lights on. Officer made location, and a male subject was outside of the truck. Officer called a ride for the male and to pick up the vehicle.
4:54 PM – Minor accident in the Walmart parking lot.
7:35 PM – Officer dispatched to NB IH-35 in reference to a vehicle that had possible blowout in the area. Officer searched the area; unable to locate.
8:10 PM – Officer dispatched to NB IH-35 in reference to a gray Ford F-150 traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. Unable to locate.
July 9
10:20 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. reported that an adult male hadn’t returned home.
10:45 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of W. Malone Dr. heard knocking on the bedroom back door that leads to the back yard. Officer made location and secured the area; unable to locate.
2:42 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of W. Davis Ave. reported a lost wallet.
3:36 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Curtis Ave. advised a green truck was being driven by a minor male subject. Officer made contact with the male driver and the subject had a Texas driver’s license. All was okay.
4:23 PM – Manager at Walmart had a male subject detained in the office and requested an officer to identify the subject. No charges filed.
9:42 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of S. Bright Dr. reported an unwanted male subject on the scene. The subject left prior to officer’s arrival.
July 10
3:12 AM – Officers dispatched to SB IH-35 for a stranded motorist. The female driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
5:17 PM – A blue van was in the parking lot of the George S. Woods Community Center. The driver was taking a nap under a tree. All was okay; he advised he would relocate.
8:03 PM – An emergency detention was conducted on an adult female, who was taken to a hospital in San Antonio.
9:37 PM – Officer assisted Natalia PD with a burglary in process at Natalia High School. The school was cleared; all was okay.
July 11
1:00 AM – Complainant reported the driver’s side door on a mail truck was partially open in the parking lot of the Devine Post Office. All appeared okay.
6:02 PM – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of Rosemary St. in reference to a mother and son in a verbal argument. The son left prior to officer’s arrival. All was okay.
July 12
2:40 AM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of N. Teel Dr. in reference to a DVD movie rack that caught fire inside a residence.
2:47 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of Hickory Hwy. reported an empty white Hondo Civic parked in front of their home. Officers made location; all was okay.
9:45 PM – Officer assisted Natalia PD in the 400 block of Palfrey St. in Natalia.
10:33 PM – Vehicle committed a traffic violation in the 800 block of N. Teel Dr. The male driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
10:48 PM – Vehicle committed a traffic violation in the 900 block of Libold Dr. The male driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed for DWI 3rd or more.
